Dragon Quest franchise

Discuss here the franchise with all sorts of puns.
I mean. Really? "Wight Knight"? "Uncommon cold"? "Charmour"?
"I've got NO clue what to do on that ship in Dragon Warrior 3,
and that's just the beginning," quoted from Charlotte.
(The series was once named "Dragon Warrior".)

It's a shame that Dragon Quest IX's multiplayer is inaccessible
(due to Nintendo Wifi being gone) because we could go on epic
adventures, down in various grottos (and yes, Greygnarl is the
only Grotto boss I've yet to fight).
But yeah, Dragon Quest VIII got a 3DS remake at some point and
honestly, the Memories Lane dungeon is the most interesting
thing they added. And yes, Estark is the last boss you fight
there (after defeating beefed up versions of some of the main
story bosses, which practically requires you to be at Lv.99 to
stand a chance).

Cut to Greygnarl and Estark having an epic showdown worthy of a
"what in blooming blue blazes!?" :P
What's the point of DQ3's medals? Why does DQ0 not exist?
Or a huge crossover like with Final Fantasy's games had
(Dissidia, I think?)...

I think the medals were added in the GBC version of Dragon Quest
III. Collecting all of the Bronze and Silver Medals allows you
to fight GranDragn (Grand Dragon) who was basically a golden
version of Orochi/King Hydra. Talking to him after obtaining all
Gold Medals causes him to fall asleep. Yeah.

With Charlotte stuck on the ghost ship, I doubt she'll get THAT
far though.
Ooh, is that a Greygnarl medal?
A trap, probably. :(

Couldn't Charlotte just use her phone to look up a walkthrough
or something? That's what I did when looking for Final Fantasy X
info (yes, Sin's final phase is quite difficult due to it's Giga
Graviton attack.)

That's what everyone said, but she's got her head in the clouds,
saying "Thanks, but I'll figure it out myself, and if it means
my party's at max level, then so be it!"
With a smile.

Not pictured: Baramos having to explain to Zoma why he
surrendered to a Lv.99 Charlotte Seymour and her party.

While being queen of Romaly, at that.
(I wanna help, but this phone won't let me access GameFAQs and
so, all I can do, is ask why Charlotte's got so many Jesters.
Her whole party's female.)
Platinum king jewels would help a lot.
