So whats-his-name ruined the castle, got killed by the castle
master, and then the castle was rebuilt, only for it to be
destroyed after the castle master is defeated about two years
later?

In the SS timeline, it gets rebuilt AGAIN two more years later

Yes. Except, two years after the events of Lunar Shadow, the
castle is back, and thus the events of Lunar Shadow X take
place.
So, in short, the current timeline is:
2013 - Lunar Shadow ZERO
2015 - Lunar Shadow
2017 - Lunar Shadow X
Note, however, that it's not 100% decided yet that Lunar Shadow
X takes place in 2017, though.

If LSX does take place in 2017, does this mean that the timeline
that is known as the SS timeline which is known as that which is
known as the Solar Shadow timeline is canon as well?

One of my "Apocalyptic Wind Tower" characters, Sonia Routen, was
planned, apparently to be replaced with Ciel Sorcière.
... so, should Sonia make some kind of appearance?

Yep! May as well give Sonia Routen and Zalora some uses :P
Sonia is the leader of a music band in LS, and is one of the few
Dragon Riders characters to appear in a non-Dragon Riders work.
Her band is called the Routen Band, and she is a human born in
Never City, on West Tirahnys. She plays the cello, but dabbles
with flutes. Her attire, on-stage, is the same as her AWT
counterpart's (maybe).

Zalora will likely appear in LSX - she's a (Dark?) Elf who works
for Aidan Flamberge. Her attire is the same as in AWT (again,
not sure; the only definite thing is that she wears a mask).
Of course, with Azehr being a 'roach in LSZ and a toaster in
LS... who knows what HIS LSX form will be. A bat with four
wings, maybe? Or a golem? Or a bunny...?
