If you guys could make any three video game songs in ORG format
       songs, what would they be?
I would pick Cavern of Remembrance and Deep Anxiety (both songs
in Kingdom Hearts). Oh, and Fragments of Sorrow (same series).

Elder Dragons Aquaticus, Fiersome and Terrable… their boss
       themes from Rune Factory 3.

       Too many to mention.
Why did Pixel pick .org rather than, say, .mid or .mp3 or .ogg?
       :-/

I don't know. Honestly, I wish I had music composition skills.
If I did, I'm sure that I could create great music, considering
that it's a creative skill. Then again, I'm sure @AFTRHR would
have no trouble creating original music for Polar Shadow.

I've worked with OrgMaker before (it's actually a nice DAW for
making music) and I'm guessing it has to do with 1) the
readability of the notes through CS and 2) there are a set
       number of instruments.
It'll be easier on the game if all the instruments are already
defined and you just pick and choose the timbres you want. Then
note data will function similarly to .mid files, where it's just
instructions on how to play the song.
Mp3 is too heavy of a file format and not very effective when it
comes to file size. If CS had .mp3 instead of .org, the music
would probably be at least 10x larger than the game's file size.

Perhaps I need to try this out for myself. Maybe I can use this
as a gateway to make music?

Oh gosh please don't make me a Minister.
That automatically makes me feel old.

It's very straightforward, so long as you know the basics of
       music theory.
But sometimes the controls are a little wonky.
Lemme know if you need help using it, but I'm pretty sure
there's a tutorial somewhere for it (there's always a tutorial
       for everything now).

But the power of science will prevent ageing, so you won't even
       have to feel old.
Also, I may have to try it out (after all, I have Booster's Lab,
Cave Save Editor and Organya v2) next time.

       Back-up OrgMaker 2.1.0 here.
       Drums:
       Tracks Q/U/I: Bass01
       W: Snare01
       E: HiClose
       R: HiOpen
       T: Tom01
       Y: Per01
Drum tracks U and I must remain empty.
       ...
       That "drums" file helps.
But still... hard-coded drums make me sad. :(

That makes composing problematic if you intend to use them in
your mods ('cause it causes the mod to crash). But hey, if any
of us use it to make music, at least it's better than KarjamP's
version of Megalovania. At least Kim had the sense to use
someone else's version for her mods.
