I hope you're okay with me making this thread, Kim; I figured it
might be helpful to keep track of your current ideas. Otherwise
you could always merge it with one of the other threads, if
possible.
Anyway, I have an idea: a bonus boss in the Tower area.
Sycor again, though this time more harder than the previous
battle.
More HP, a new strategy, and... who knows, maybe a reward?
The arena, a hallway filled with death traps and very small
platforms.
On the start of the battle, however.. those platforms vanish,
save for one.
Reaching Sycor will be harder, though - it would require all
bosses, save the "Ending Bosses" for the best ending, to have
been defeated.
One of the ways to get closer to Sycor in the boss fight would
be using those mini-cores as platforms.
While it may rely on fake difficulty as well, it still would be
challenging.
I am, of course, probably as mad as a hatter here; you would
need superb timing and high HP, not to mention powerful attacks
at their best possible levels. But still, a challenge
nonetheless.
If people could handle 3-HP runs of Cave Story, why not have a
3-HP run mode in the mod as well that removes the Life Capsules
to prevent taking one by accident?
Also, what about Newerth's history? Historians might find it
interesting, as might some other people (such as myself).

First off, that would be pure evil and if I do decide to include
an idea, I'd like the opinions of the players first.
Sycor is a powerful foe. I won't be able to change its HP since
the first battle would also have the new HP, and it requires ASM
hacking. Google it if you don't know what it is.
Secondly, it has been suggested already and I'm considering it.
Thirdly, that's actually a good idea, though I have no idea
where to begin.

Why not with the events that led up to the beginning of the mod,
first?
Ooh, I've another idea - Level 1 Boss Mode.
Basically, it just makes all weapons go to Level 1 for boss
fights.
... but that's most likely a silly idea, though people might
enjoy challenging themselves.

That's actually another interesting idea :o
Though, I'll have to see what those who played the mod would
feel about such a thing.

Invisible mini-boss (Grave Keeper) later in the game (I Know I
Demanded for it a long time ago but i know it will be great.
This is still your mod tho.)
Ending Plot Twist. Why not? Something mind shattering like the
plot twist from Aria of Sorrow.
I can't think of more.

Doable; I'll consider it.
Though, in the event that it is added to the mod, it would
probably be the second invisible boss.
The Castle thread

The Corrupt Moon, the Hallow Sun. Two areas made both of
machinery and magic.
Those two areas, though not accessible in Lunar Shadow, still
play a vital part in Lunar Soul.
One of the areas in the Tower will let one change the position
of the two areas. Either the "moon" will be near the Top Floor
and the "sun" near the top part of the Tower, or the other way
around.
Two bosses can only be battled when the moon is on their side of
the castle, and a third boss becomes visible if the sun is on
its side (otherwise it's invisible; it's minions are still
visible though).
That boss will act like the (normal) Core from vanilla Cave
Story.
This will also relate to the three endings I've planned~

I might already have one planned ;)
Though, whether it's mind shattering or not, I don't know.
I'm not ready yet to state what the planned plot twist is, but
I'll probably post it later. It will tie in with two of the
three planned endings.
(It'll most likely be a wall of text.)

In fact I hope you never ever post the twist before the mod is
released Because the Twist isn't a Twist if you know where the
whole thing began twisting... Yeah.
I bet that the plot twist will be awesome. And I'm happy that
you'll use the invisible boss :) .

Cue the wild and possibly ridiculous guesses?
Though those could be good for a laugh or two. :)
You mentioned three endings, so I take it that "leaving the
castle" doesn't count as one?

I guess you can say that.
One thing I haven't planned in advance, though, would be the
various cutscenes that will appear.
(Except, of course, part of the plot twist scene, which
involves... plot twists.)

If people want to guess what might the plot twist be, I won't
mind. :))

Technically, not, but it's the closest thing to an ending at the
moment.
Might make it the worst ending in the future, though (making
Lunar Shadow a mod with four endings). I mean, if you just up
and left then Newerth would be mostly lifeless several days
after that.

My guess? The castle master is actually the brother of the
protagonist, and his sister is actually the true final boss
instead of his biological sister.
Anyway, I have an idea: some skeletal enemies.
