The Tower area at day. It took about an hour, but it is done,
for now. I will probably update it when I need to.
I might attempt a sunset version, but I don't know.
Currently Azehr (a boss) has two sprite sheets, one for night
and one for day (though it looks more as though it would work
for sunset).
NOTE: the following information is what has been planned and is
subject to change if it is required
.
Azehr is just a resprite of Balrog, though this boss has five
forms. You can save before the first form, but trying to reach
the top of the Tower will trigger the boss fight (and render it
impossible to reach the top until you can access the Top Floor).
The first form is rather basic, Azehr just walks around and
tries to eat Serenity.
The second form has him jump around and has him fire some sort
of energy blast, though not sure if he does anything else just
yet.
The third form is similar to how Balrog acts in the Power Room
of Grasstown in vanilla Cave Story.
The fourth form is similar to how he acts in the Labyrinth
Boulder Room in vanilla Cave Story.
The fifth form is similar to that Labyrinth ghost - defeating
Azehr this last time will mean he will be deceased.

Apparently Serenity chose to become a model after the events of
Lunar Shadow. :o

Here we have our heroine cosplaying as Reverie from the Key
visual novel Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet.
(Until literally a minute or two ago I had no idea her name was
Yumemi Hoshino.)

Here, our heroine wears a Gardevoir costume. (The Gardevoir
sprites are Polaris's. He deserves a medal.)

This outfit most of you know - Serenity wears it during Lunar
Shadow.

Serenity wears a formal outfit, in this picture. With a ribbon
in her hair.

Lastly, here Serenity wears a typical Newerth witch outfit,
though without a hat.
The observant will notice that, aside from the witch outfit, the
winter outfit and the Gardevoir costume, her left hand is
covered with a glove at all times.
And that her left eye is always shut, but it's easier to notice.
:P
And that her right eye is always green (except when wearing the
Gardevoir costume, strangely).
[spoiler]And yes, all those outfits can be worn in the mod, so
this is not a useless post.
Of course, half of the outfits require unlocking:
- the Gardevoir costume is unlocked by talking to a Gardevoir in
the Entrance area.
- the Witch outfit has no known method of unlocking at this
moment, but this will be remedied.
- the Reverie outfit has no known method of unlocking at this
moment, but this will be remedied.
Those doors in one of the screenshots? Those are basically where
the outfits are changed.
The room has not yet appeared in the mod, not even in the beta
release - it's entirely new, and in the Tower area.[/spoiler]

Azehr looks like it's going to be great. It's a late game boss
so i guess his attack while similar to Balrog will be more
powerfull.
I love games with unlockable costumes. I love them so much and I
was wondering where to search for search for such.a game. :3 I
just love what you did there. And Serenity as a model at the end
sounds neat. I just wonder if it's possible to have every
costume granting different abilities.
Again as always great work Kim. Continue doing your best. :)
Note: also a sunset variant will bring amazement in everyone's
mind qbout how detailed is the mod.

Just need to figure out what entities Balrog falls under, but

I was considering making each outfit a decorative thing, perhaps
having them grant useful abilities could be helpful.

Serenity wearing some kind of school uniform. Not exactly sure
what kind of school uniform that actually is, as Yes Town's
school uniform is much different.

Serenity cosplaying as Kalifa from One Piece. I found it
ridiculously hard to sprite the glasses, strangely. So, I left
them out. (Besides, Serenity can see perfectly well without
glasses, and if she were to wear glasses she'd risk ruining her
eyesight.) This outfit will definitely be hidden in the Top
Floor area, and can only be obtained after you can reach the
Master's Room - sometime before you battle Shinica and Luna,
though.
And yes, Sycor has the castle emblem (a moon).
The castle emblem is a moon. It was always a moon. IT WILL
ALWAYS BE A MOON!
... which is actually meaningful considering the master is
technically a lunatic. :o

School Serenity is, well schoolish. Damn it I can't special for
that outfit. If it has any special abilities the first coming to
mind is knowledge and maybe having more ammo for the Acidic
Buble since it's a spell and more knowledge means better spells
right?
I never watched One Piece so I can't say if it's good or not.
Maybe I'll google it.
I googled it. Based on the amount of pixels I can say it's OK,
Although many won't recognise her. Guess that's the problem in
making old school games.
Sycor look's near with that moon on his head. I guess more
bosses are going to have something simmilar.
For the tileset so far, so good. I expect in a few days to be
posted finished. Again great work. And there's noting bad
playing videio games most of the time. You'll allways get new
ideas from them. :)

I've updated the Tirahnys thread with a few laws; I wanted at
least five laws before I started posting them.
Basically, Serenity is breaking the law in order to save the
entire planet.
Which will most likely turn out to be for the better of
Tirahnys, as it would force the corrupt Dark Elf president to
acknowledge that she knew magic in order to save Newerth, and
killing a heroine would most likely result in a rebellion.
[spoiler=A Possible Future?]Serenity will be president when she
turns 18 or 19... at least, I hope.
She still becomes a model, though that's between the end of
Lunar Shadow and her presidency.
Probably, she'll still be a model even as a president.
Anything could happen.
I'm thinking she could be thirteen years of age from 15 January
2015 (the day that I started on the mod), being born in

- Azehr is currently uncertain - I plan on having his true form

would probably be:
