Considering how it changes from blue to red, I'd say it's…
FORESHADOWING FOR A FUTURE PROJECT. Darkness gathering, perhaps?
Maybe a Final Fantasy-esque plot? Who knows.

It says nothing about Karjams of any kind. I'm not even going to
mention them in the Lunar Shadow verse.
In fact, the Serenth galaxy will self-implode if a Karjamian
were to be detected in it, due to a spell the Castle Master cast
on the galaxy.

Implode: burst inward
Explode: burst outward, usually with noise
So why did the Castle Master do that, Kim? Why did he cast a
spell to make Serenth implode on itself if a Karjamian appears?
Why not explode instead?
