This song must be about politicians. :D
....You've got a blank face, which irritates
Communicate, pull out your party piece
But it's easy to believe, somebody's been lying to me
But when the wrong word goes in the right ear
I know you've been lying to me
It's getting rough off the cuff
I've got to say enough's enough
Why don't they do what they say?
Say what they mean
One thing leads to another
I just had this thought. If you tell one lie then you have to
tell another lie to cover that lie and so on and so on, one
thing leads to another.

^ It certainly could apply to politicians. It seems every
"solution" they come up causes more problems than it fixes.
It applies to lies too. "Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practice to deceive."
I've had people lie to me and I knew at the time they were
lying. Sometimes I pretend not to know. Why tell them? If
they wanted to think they had deceived me by lying, I could
deceive them by remaining silent and letting them think I
believed them. Why should I enlighten them? LOL One fellow
did finally confess after about a week. I was glad I hadn't
argued with him about it -- and there's always an argument if
you tell someone, "You're lying." When he confessed, I then
told him I had known the truth all along. We both had a laugh
over it. He could laugh because he knew it had been silly to
lie to me and that I wouldn't have been angry if he had told
the truth. I thought it was quite funny since he thought I'd be
angry if I knew; and I did know and kept quiet about it.
