A Quote

From Graham Cooke
"Detractors never realize that when they are pointing out
someone's shortcomings they are also revealing their own, only
much more emphatically. It is possible to read what they write
and feel sorry for them. It is possible to hear how they speak
and realize that often their heart is in a worse place than the
person they are opposing. It is ironic that the critic may be in
for a tougher time than the one they are criticizing [Matthew
7:1-5]. One who is criticized will receive the grace to be
transformed by it. The critic may not perceive the grace
available to repent and be changed themselves."

I suspect that there are always times that we feel "things "
would be better if only someone would pul their weight and shape
up. We do this according to our understanding of what ought to
be happening in others lives, or we do it by making the bible a
straight line they should adhere to.
Neither in fact are necessarily Gods way of seeing things.

I think, Helen, that we always disclose who we are in whatever
we do, though we never seem to perceive others and fail making
rash judgements of others. We are being transformed by grace in
Christ and must to strive to make ourselves available and not as
obstacles of that grace, so that the love of Christ may abound.
There is so much in respect to failings in the world. It is a
pity that there is so much of it.
Peace be with you!
