       The Law & The Lamb

       How I see things...
       Romans 3:19-21:
"Now we know that whatever the Law says it speaks to those who
are under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the
whole world may be held accountable to God. For no human being
will be justified in His sight by works of the Law, since
through the Law comes knowledge of sin. But now the
righteousness of God has been manifested apart from Law,
although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it."
Those who choose to still live by the Mosaic law remain sinful,
just like those outside it, man is held accountable to God.
Nobody will be justified by the keeping the law because that is
not its purpose! The function of the Law was to bring a
       knowledge of sin.
But now a way of 'becoming righteous' apart from the Law was
       revealed in Jesus Christ.
The requirments for keeping the Law was completed when Jesus
said that "It is finished" on the cross. His death made us able
to be forgiven our sins. His resurrection fulfilled it.
We have total hope in His life and faith in His promises and
       that justifies us.
So I would say the whole law was fulfilled in Christ at the
       cross.
The sooner man comes to see that it is impossible to keep the
law...and stop trying to "keep the comandments". And stop
THINKING that it is God's plan that man keep the
commandments...and start seeing that we are not called to "keep
the comandments" but to thank God for His Son , say thank you..
and because we LOVE HIM, yeild to His strength to walk as clean
and as seperated as we can in this nasty world. We do it NOT
because we must, and not because He commands it...His Plan was
always Jesus , we do it because we are 'the called' and the
       potential Bride.
That's just how 'I' read it and believe it. :)

What about people who still don't know what is a sin and what
isn't? Would they benefit from being put under the Law of
       Moses to learn?

What is the God given conscience for if not to prod us when we
are choosing to go astray? I do see the wisdom of the ten
commandment guide lines for living...before I knew any better I
tried to live by keeping the commandments ( trying my best) It
wasnt until later I learned that our best can never be good
enough...if it was, Jesus would not have need to come to save
us. But, as a teenager being aware of the law , kept my nose
clean, until I learned more once becoming a Christian.
