       Things with God
By: Runner Date: September 30, 2014, 10:08 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I am slowly learning ( about time) that things with God are not
always as they seem. Things which to our minds seem as a
negative, we find He allowed to come our way as a positive or at
       least as a tutor.
The tabernacle of God in the wilderness was covered with
badgers' skins and goats' hair. We would tend to think there
would not be any glory there!
The Shekinah of God was manifest under that rough kind of
       covering.
May God open our eyes to see Him where we think not.... in
testings, trials, dangers, or anything we think as a negative.
I am trying to get this deep into me...as a 'part of my being'
       and 'second nature'.

Let's face it, sometimes the road God leads us on is a little
more winding and bumpy than we would prefer, right?
But, friends, it's in those parts of our journey that we become
       closer to God.
So, Whatever we face today, He's with us through it all, leading
us to the exact spot He's planned for us.
       We can trust Him.
We are comforted in knowing that God is already in all of our
       'tomorrows'.

I'm reminded of the healings when the waters were troubled.

Totally agree with what this thread conveys, how quickly we can
forget at times ( usually because we are blind sided and
struggling ) Guess this is why we are told to ' remember ' what
The Lord has done in the past X

If we do not find God in the terrible, trying moments of our
lives, do we find him in the glad, rejoicing moments? God is to
be found in both times of our lives. We need to think on this.
The terrible, trying moments may be the more important. It
seems in pain is where we discover who we are at bottom.
Sometimes we do not like what we see in all our pain. We
recognize our need to become who we need to be in God's spirit.

       Amen to your post Holland.
I find it hard being fearless as Joshua and Gideon were
       called to be...
It’s much easier to avoid the difficult stuff and refuse to
face our fears until we feel confident.
But we are called to walk by faith, not by feelings. We
can be brave because God did not give us the spirit of
fear! As one preacher likes to say- " Do it afraid,
       but do it." :)
So, today, we all choose to be brave even when we feel afraid.
When we do, we will find an amazing confidence results —a
confidence in God and in His promises.
As we let go, His grace abounds in us.
Grace= God's ability in you, to do what you can't do. (
       Strongs. )
