The Lords Time

Thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall
appoint.—2Sam 15:15
I love to think that God appoints
My portion day by day;
Events of life are in His hand,
And I would only say,
Appoint them in Thine own good time,
And in Thine own best way.

God in His mercy doesn't shout from heaven that we are condemned
and without hope . Without His mercy we are all in a hopeless
place, but He comes to man in His need and seeks to help him to
understand what his need is ... then provides the remedy.
God would have the right to snuff us out if He so wishes but He
doesn’t. Why? Because God who is merciful, loved us while we
were yet sinners, and sent His Son to die for us on the cross in
our place. The blood of Christ cleanses us whiter than snow.
That's power!
He provides the cleansing and the covering to make us fit for
His very presence. That's Glory!

~“On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place
afar off”.~
What was it that Abraham could see?
A place of self-denial, and a place where all 'senses' had to be
left behind. This was the place where the mind and will of God
had to be met, no matter what the cost.
What did Abraham do? (we would probably have turned around and
headed home, but not Abraham. He went onward with his son,
leaving his servants behind with these last words... “I and the
lad will go yonder to worship, and come again unto you”. What
faith! Onward they went until they came to that place that
"Abraham could see from afar off." There he made ready for the
sacrifice; the wood laid in order and Isaac his son bound up and
ready.
Just at that moment God spoke to Abraham again and Abraham and
it says he lifted up his eyes,..... this time what he saw was a
ram caught in the thicket by his horns, God's provision, in the
place of his son. What rejoicing!
Abraham knew God enough to leave everything in His hands.
God knew Abraham enough to test and prove , that what God
'really wanted' was not his son .....but his heart!!
