       Grace

Grace is a barrier to the enemy and a doorway into a greater
       place of maturity.
Don't be passive about grace. Grace is the empowering presence
of God that enables you to become the person that He sees when
He looks at you through Christ.
God's ability in us, to do what we cannot do of ourselves.

Odd that you would post this. I was studying this word the
other day and wondering why Jesus never used the word. I was
wrong however to think he never used it. He uses it in the book
of Luke. It's just translated differently. I'm still not
sure why. I know different translators did different books in
the Bible for the KJV. They do translate it as "grace" in some
       places in Luke.
Here is the first section from Luke where it is used by Jesus
       three times:
Luke 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have
ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank
have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank
have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much
       again.
Then Jesus uses it once here:
Luke 17:9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things
that were commanded him? I trow not.

The word seems to have something to do with favors that are not
deserved but also with people who receive such favors being
       thankful.
I'm still looking it at the other places.

       I'm asking myself if God wants to give all gifts by His Grace;
but if they would not be grateful, it doesn't work out that way?
       I'm thinking about lilies.
Luke 12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not,
they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his
glory was not arrayed like one of these.
God sends them sunshine, water, the air they need and the earth.
They still have to do the growing by using those gifts the way
God intended. The question is if people can do it too? Do we
trust that God has given and will give us all we need?

[size=12pt]Oh you are so right ( well you never post anything
       without checking it out LOL)
I had never seen that before...I just double checked it in the
Greek and there it is #5485
Dave will enjoy that..as I know he hadn't seen that either.
Not much, if anything comes our way without Grace..I do remember
that the root meaning of grace and joy are the same...
       Strong's Greek: 5479. χαρά (chara) -- joy,
       delight
       Strong's Greek: 5485. χάρις (charis) --
       grace, kindness
Definition: grace, as a gift or blessing ... that which
affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness:
       ...
"The joy of the Lord is our strength" = grace, God ability
favour to do what we cant do.
       ...
