Body/Mind/Spirit

is not man a trinity in the image and likeness of his Creator
for he is not any one of the three but all three - we may take
the body as Christ, the mind as the father and the spirit as the
Holy Ghost - the simpliest understanding is 1 x 1 x 1 = 3 -
If you want a trinity for man, why not use the one given
in the Scriptures? :)
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
That could be awkward for a trinity theory though since when
Jesus cited this passage, he has four parts:
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with
all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

imho heart, mind and soul = all thy strength = still three in
one - twinc
I'd say might = strength. Jesus added "mind" to the
verse, possibly because the Hebrew word for soul doesn't match
up with the Greek word. Perhaps he needed both soul and mind in
Greek to say what could be said in Hebrew with one word.
On the other hand, we can see heart as fire and the strength of
body as earth. The soul is water; but there is both upper and
lower waters -- so soul and mind in Greek could be describing
the two levels of water.
You appear a little desperate to me to try to find the trinity
somewhere. . . .
Hold up now. I didn't say mind was a thing. You said:
Jesus also knew that mind covers and includes all and everything
Those are your words, not mine. Then I said:
If the mind covers everything, why include it in a list with
three other things?
Of course, heart, mind, soul and strength are not things the way
concrete physical objects are. What noun would you like me to
use? I merely used the word you did when you said mind
includes everything.
The list? Heart, soul, mind and strength. That's the list.
If mind covers the other three, why include mind in the list?
And Matthew also doesn't quite align with Deuteronomy.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy
God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy
mind.
That would make "mind" equal "might."
I would say God has a mind but God is a Spirit.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must
worship him in spirit and in truth.
Saying mind=God is too much like making the intellect into an
idol to suit me.
1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that
he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
