When they appear to people, they can seem to have wings; but no,
they don't really have wings anymore than they have physical
bodies or anything else of the sort. How they appear is meant
to teach something to the people who see them.
When I saw Archangel Michael, he did have wings and a sword.
Does he really have wrings and a sword though? No. It's how
he "appeared" to me though. The prophets often include the
phrases "as it were" or like unto" to tell us not to take what
they are describing literally.
What do the wings mean? If two wings, it means the angel is
operating on one level -- in one heaven. If four wings, in two
heavens; and if six wings, then all three heavens.
Thus when St. Francis described the seraph with six wings, we
can conclude something was occurring in all three heavens. If
you add the earth, that's four levels; and that is what the
Cross is about, and that is what St. Francis' vision was about.
The Cross is the symbol of where all three heavens connect with
the earth.
Such are my views anyway.

It is not their natural state, but if they wish to, they can.

It is only a guess mind you, but probably when they become
corporeal, they are lighter than the human counterpart, and can
get around quicker in our atmosphere with wings.

Interesting and good post Kerry.
Thanks, Helen. Maybe I'll tell more about it in another
thread so I don't derail this one. I got reproved for
something by Beloved Michael. He knew how to do it without
offense too. I wish I could paint or draw better; but my skills
at drawing and painting are terrible. His face was like a
child's.
Okay then, I'll probably put it in "Musings of a Mad
Mystic."
