clean start
If Jesus has died for our sins, why do we need to dwell
on them?
So we can start clean.
We need to know we still have to live clean, or we start pile
up our sins all over again after we accepted Jesus' forgiveness
of sins.
We are forgiven if we repent of our sins, if we don't live
changed life by our sinful or ungodly or unfaithful life, we
lied to God about our accepting Jesus as our Lord.
This is born again. We will not inherit God's kingdom if we are
not born again.

Here are the verses of born again:
John 3:3
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the
kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
John 3:7
You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born
again.’
1 Peter 1:23
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of
imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who
does what is right has been born of him.
1 John 3:7 The one who does what is right is righteous, just as
he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the
devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s
work. 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because
God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because
they have been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the
children of God are and who the children of the devil are:
Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is
anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
1 John 5: 1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is
born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child
as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God:
by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is
love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not
burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world.[...]
18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the
One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot
harm them. 19 We know that we are children of God, and that the
whole world is under the control of the evil one. 20 We know
also that the Son of God has come and has given us
understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are
in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ.

Well said. The problem is, as soon as we declare that we know
we're born of God, we've sinned, because we've let our left hand
know what the right hand is doing. John said when we're born of
God, we sinneth not. yet this same John said this:
1 Jn 1:8 ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
Even when born again of God, and not sinning, in so far as we
are aware, the propensity to sin still resides in our flesh. All
we can and should do is seek to do good, never ought we to boast
of our heightened spiritual status. I don't want to hear people
say "I'm born again". I would rather see people in constant
service to mankind - from this I know they're born again. I've
been in lot's of churches where everyone says they're born
again, and that I can be too (not knowing that I actually am),
but it's all hot air. They have no idea they'll be judged for
their works.

Born again means mealy we change our old says to Jesus' ways.
We will strive to be like Jesus by obeying all His teachings.
We will not make excuses such as "no one is perfect" or "we are
all sinners" if we are born again. There are many says to make
excuses to be disobedient to Jesus and His teachings.
That's how we water down Jesus' teachings by excuses and change
to secular standards.
