When I was a new christian
By: meshak Date: January 30, 2014, 7:47 am

When I was a new Christian, no one could teach me or help me to
be how to be a good Christian.
I fest bewildered and still lost.
I did not know what is Christianity is all about.
I finally figured out that I could not rely on anyone to be a
good Christian.
then, I stopped feeling so helpless.
I figured all I have to do is learn what Jesus tells us to do.
I also found out that the churches are not teaching to follow
Jesus by reading His messages.
It should not be this way.

Our lack of knowledge can at times be a blessing.
Faith was often at our start all we had. We were able to have
faith because we had not taken on a lot of excess baggage
(knowledge) which was getting between us and God's truth. As we
begin to learn, even from scripture, if we do not also retain
and improve on our initial connection with God, we will find
ourselves moving away from God rather than toward Him.
Learning what Christianity is all about, can get us into trouble
with God, if our learning did not come from God.

No man, in himself, is always trustworthy. Those
who are trustworthy have received a gift from God and put it to
proper use... at least part of the time. That 'part of the time'
gives us reason to be careful of others and of ourselves.

I figured all I have to do is learn what Jesus tells us
to do.
Remember that many people for hundreds of years
have been reading the Bible and misunderstanding what they have
read. You and I are not exempt from misunderstanding.

There is truth in churches as well as
misinformation. Some misinformation is not given out purposely,
so we need to be slow to lay blame. By sifting carefully with
God's help we may find His message to us within even
misinformation. Similarly within ourselves, each of us sometimes
has taken things which cause us to understand incorrectly what
is written even in the scriptures. For these reasons we must
continue to study, but it is just as important, or even more so,
to stay in regular communication with God. Our minds alone can
and do lead us astray.

Jesus commands us to be faithful to Him until the end. His
teachings are not as hard as the Christendom are making out to
be.
All we need is obedient heart and strive to follow everything He
teaches and commands us to do. Then the HS will help us to be
faithful to Him.
It is just too bad that the Christendom do not appreciate His
teaching as they should. His teachings are the most blessings
that God gave us to live by. His teachings are the solution to
all our problems and predicaments.
blessings.

It is hard for people who try ride the fence. If a
person wants the rewards from God but is unwilling to give up
the rewards of this world, it is very hard. It is hard to live

I agree as long as you state it as simply as that. Give God the

My point is that we are misrepresenting Jesus with disobedient
faith to the world. And we should inform the world that this is
not Jesus.
We are enabling the disobedience by keeping silence about it.
We don't have to be perfect to spread Jesus. It is not about us,
it is all about Jesus and His teachings and God's kingdom. This
is what Jesus commands us to do.

For me, it has been no church that has led me in faith and its
manifold understanding. It was through the Spirit that I came
to Christ.
I have learned of the Spirit, not of book-knowledge, but of the
inner enlightenment that comes when the Inner Light shines upon
that which had been in the darkness before. Learning to be
circumspect, slow to speak, careful to understand things in
their manifold aspects, thus I was, with God's grace, permitted
to know that which became the foundation of my life and its
future journey. When I began my education in this world, the
worldly knowing was seen in contrast with the Spiritual knowing.
I learned to accept Truth as it is found, whereever it is
found.
I have learned that we do not possess Truth, something that we
may think we have a proprietory right over, rather it may
possess us if we allow ourselves to an openness with it. If we
are humble and obedient, we shall grow in our faith. It is in
this place, in repentence of sin that Christ allows our growth.
This was when I was a new Christian.
Peace be with you!

I believe Jesus said it is all about his Father who is God and
who gave him the teachings, commandments and words to say and to
whom Jesus gave all the glory and worship.
John 12:49“For I have not spoken from myself, but The Father who
sent me, he gave me commandments, what I will say and what I
will utter.” 50“I know that his commandments are eternal life,
therefore, these things which I am speaking, just as The Father
tells me, thus I speak.”
John 7:15And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man
letters, having never learned? 16Jesus answered them, and said,
My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17If any man will
do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of
God, or whether I speak of myself. 18He that speaks of himself
seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him,
the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
John 4:34 Jesus said unto them, My food is to do the will of him
that sent me, and to finish his work.
John 5:30 I cannot do anything of my own will, but according to
that which I have heard, I judge, and my judgment is just, for I
am not seeking my will, but the will of him who has sent Me.
John 17:8 For I gave them the words you gave me and they
accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you,
and they believed that you sent me.
John 20:17 Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet
ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them,
'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your
God.'"
1Pet. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us
again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead,
John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you the
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
John 17:4 I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the
work which you gave me to do.
Luke 4:8 Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say,‘You must worship
the LORD your God and serve only him.’”
