Hello

Hello everyone! Just a few short years ago I was a atheist and
totally hated Christians ie. Saul. Then my life was changed
forever. My avator shows my state, paralyzed from a neurological
disorder and a long list of other problems. On July 4, 2012 my
life was radically changed again, I was completely healed. I was
baptized in 2011 (in a wheelchair), but I really date my truly
accepting Jesus as the day of my healing. My beliefs some would
say are radical, my response is a true believer should be
radical. I live my beliefs on a daily basis,I am not a weekend
believer. Since my healing I've slowly studied the New Testament
completely around 16 times and counting and the Old Testament 4
times. Studying the Bible is important, but more important is
Our relationship with Jesus and how we live our life. There is
not a church in existence today, that I am 100% compatible with.
I do attend a Full Gospel non-denomination Church. I don't live
my life "trying not to sin" I live my life doing Kingdom Work.
When our focus is on The Father, Jesus and His Holy Spirit and
know His Love for us, we don't live in sin or worry about it.
Grace is Unmerited Favor to walk In God's Abilities to do that
which we cannot do. Not a license to sin, but freedom to not
sin. And the freedom to do Kingdom Work.

Hello Saul,
Its great to have you on board, and I hope you enjoy it here!
We are a fairly close, small group of friends that enjoy sharing
good times and bad times with each other. We all love to
fellowship, debate, and just express day to day emotions and
thoughts. Most important I feel that we all have a mutual
respect and Love for one another, even though at times debates
have been a little heated, we do so with respect for each other
and each others beliefs. So feel free to share anything you have
the urge to share and Welcome to the forum!
Sincerely, George M. C. Jr.

Welcome! Do I ever agree about studying the Bible. If we learn
something from it, surely applying it is more important. I
think some people get carried away by reading and reading and
forgetting it's really about doing.
Sorry to say, I've never found a church I felt right in. I
also used to be an atheist. I think atheists have an advantage
over people who never doubted much. I've met some people who
seem afraid to doubt this or that, as if they might go to hell
if they thought they might be wrong about something. Maybe
that's part of the problem of churches -- some of them try to
frighten people into thinking if they don't have faith in this
or that idea, it means they don't have faith in God. Or if you
doubt something the minister says, you must be a bad person.

Hello Kerry, funny thing is my wife and I have been attending
two churches recently. The full-gospel church and the other a
baptist, we have a deaf nephew and until he is healed, we
started to go to the baptist church, because they have a deaf
ministry. I stopped by the Pastor's Office and gave him my
testimony, all seemed well. He started talking about
introducing me to two members, who do good things in the
community. One has a jail ministry, which I would love to do.
Long story short, he invited me to a mens breakfast, I went
saturday. Not one man there acted friendly towards me. One man
came up and said I don't know you, why are you here?!! The
Pastor himself turned the other way when I went to say hi. Well,
after the breakfast, I went up to several of them and more less
made them shake my hand. After I left, I prayed about it,
Jesus was humiliated, abused and mistreated for my sake, so my
mission at the church is to love the devil out of those people
;D

Are you going to ask if you can help with the prison ministry?
It might help break the ice with the people at the church and it
would be doing good for the people in prison too.
I think sometimes people are shy. They may want to make sure
you don't bite before they get too close.

I absolutely plan on asking him about the jail ministry. Which
is another reason we chose that church, I plan on talking to
him, next sunday. I've spent three short times in jail, so it is
near and dear to my heart, to reach out to them.

For my wife and I, Prison Ministry is our church. We attend
Chapel Service every Sunday night at the Corrections Canada
Medium Security Prison at Dorchester. We play gospel songs, and
sometimes preach / teach. It's incredibly rewarding! We no
longer attend church anywhere else at the present time.

That is awesome and I look forward to (hopefully), being able to
minister in that way. If this church doesn't accept me, can I
"get in the door" on my own? Maybe I can call the warden and
arrange it? What's your experience with that? Last year I had
thought that it was arranged through the church I just left.
Then the one that did the prison ministry left the church and
never got back with me.

I am sure Dave will answer your question about that.
My sister in law goes around hospitals to visit and pray with
people. She had to go through the Hospital Chaplin, answer
questions, and get a "visitors badge" and his "okay" for doing
it. I am sure it will be the same for you Saul, either the
Prison Chaplin or Warden will give you the yea or nay on it. :)
