Baby Snooks

I love the old radio show Baby Snooks. I heard this episode
this morning driving in my car on WMOX from St. Louis. Snooks'
father is trying to explain Thanksgiving. Fannie Brice does the
voice of Baby Snooks. Doesn't she sound just like a brat?

That was very funny Kerry. Having two grand children makes it
even funnier since you can see ahead of time the traps the
father is going to fall into by his use of words.
Jeanette had to stop what she was doing to come over and listen
in.

poor fellow probably knows too but keeps falling into them
anyway. Her father sounds so genuinely angry it impresses me.
What an actor. I also get the feeling from that show that
we're supposed to believe they like each other deep down --
they're just dysfunctional in how they go about it.
[quote]Jeanette had to stop what she was doing to come over and

episode where the father has to go to court and he tells Snooks
what to say to impress the judge. Of course, she lets the wrong
things slip, and the judge gets really angry at the father for
getting his daughter to try to deceive him. I'll see if I can
find it or some other episode.
Edit to add: I found it.

Can eleven and four equal twelve? That's one of the questions
in "Jury Duty."

^^^For some reason, Kerry, this Baby Snooks moment reminds me of
Alice in Wonderland where Alice had her conversation about
impossible things. The narrative is as follows:
"Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't
believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much
practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it
for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as
six impossible things before breakfast."
