Not Understanding

"Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou
shouldest see the glory of God?" John 11:40.
Mary and Martha couldn't understand what the Lord was doing.
Both of them said to Him, "Lord, if thou hadst been here, my
brother had not died." We seem to read their thought.... "Lord,
we do not understand why you have stayed away so long. We do not
understand how you could let death come to the man whom you
loved. We do not understand how You could let sorrow and
suffering ravage our lives when Your presence might have stopped
it all. Why did You not come? It is too late now, for already he
has been dead four days!"
Jesus answered.. "You may not understand; but I tell you if you
believe, you will see..."
I do not understand why God let another good man die last week
when he could have been healed so easily by the Lord. I do not
understand why physical ill health has been allowed to 'set up
house' in my own body. I do not understand some of the things
in the lives of those I love. I do not understand why
prayers for deliverance for someone should be yet unanswered .
I do not understand why the Lord is not as active in our lives
as He seemed to be many years ago.
I don't understand much...but I do know that in not
understanding I can still rest in trust.
We don't have to understand all God's ways with us. God doesn't
expect us to understand.
Parents don't expect our child to understand, only to trust us.
Some day we will see the glory of God in the things which we
don't yet understand.

They're too intrigued by the tampering with Acts for this to get
much response.

I couldn't think of anything sensible or comforting to say. The
world confuses me at times also; so I try to deal with the
things I think maybe I can understand.

Appears as if you just seen it as another shot to start drama.

Personally I feel there are times that there are no words to
say. I read it as someone just venting from the heart.

I don't know about 'excuse', but I had a reason, which was that
I was wondering if my exaggerated smileys 'worked' on another
forum, and since Helen is my friend I tried one out in her
thread.
