Meshak, I take it you are not a baby Christian all wet behind
the ears?
So why so upset?
Do I have to be upset to express the reality of Christianity?
By now I would have thought, and that's my take on the
situation, that you would have realized that the world was going
to get anything but better and better, that Christians were
going to let you down as regard to your idea of what a "proper"
Christian is and that having had this epiphany you would have
busied yourself in promoting that which builds up those who are
in need of teaching and encouragement.
Still that's me, each to his own!
James
Why do you call yourselves His follower if you don't honor His
teachings?
Jesus tells us to be perfect. Jesus tells us that His followers
are not of this world, yet most trinity believers are behaving
like the rest of world and have no qualm about it.
I say trinity believers because no trinity organization get
involved with bloody affairs like trinity churches do.
Christianity is supposed to be a way of life, not just talk
about it or debate it.

I see this threads subject line is " Christian forum pet peeve"
Well one of MY pet peeves with Forums.... is the person who only
has one line of a song to sing, over and over and over again.
They get stuck in a groove that just repeats itself.
Much like someone walking through a field of beautiful wild
flowers, but all they can 'see' is the patch of bog weed in the
middle.

Yes, I am flabbergasted because Jesus was pacifist. His
teachings was non-violent in over all. And we claim to be His
followers, yet don't seem to be bothered that so called His
followers involving in blood shed from the beginning of their
Christian history, and continually doing so.
You seem to
consider only the end result of anger which is physical
violence. What about leads to it?
I think most physical violence is the result of when people use
words to express anger instead of searching for solutions and
using words in peaceful ways.
Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came
to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against
Abel his brother, and slew him.
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is
the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body,
and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire
of hell.
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with
his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:
and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger
of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in
danger of hell fire.
Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by
thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Angry words and murder are the same sin to me. It's just a
matter of degree and how far one is willing to go. Make no
mistake of it, the person who uses angry words without having a
real reason for them has the seed of murder growing within him;
and if he doesn't ask God to tame his tongue, it can injure
him and tempt him to sin. "Sin lies at the door," waiting to
pounce, and using angry words is asking for "sin" to pounce on
us and take over.
Is arguing or expressing disagreements wrong? It isn't if both
people are interested in resolving things. I hope the problem
in Syria can be solved by talking. Expressing different views
is part of solving problems.
However when we decide talking isn't going to work, talking
after that can be dangerous. If the intention is to deceive or
wound, it is probably a sin and can lead others to sin too.
And it can lead to violence.

It seems to me you are on denial. Jesus gives us work to do.
And He commands us to be perfect.
The ugly reality will not disappear just because you pretend it
is not there. It is just like elephant in the room.

Jesus tells us what to do. Solution is there for His followers.
Pro-military Christians are denying His instruction.

That is your judgment. How the early church interpreted it was
that clerics should never be in the military, and I think that
was right. That is still the rule in the Catholic Church. A
priest is not allowed to shed blood.

If you are wearing a hat that is so big that it drops down over
your eyes you have no chance of noticing what hat other
Christians might or might not be wearing. You just make
exaggerated assumptions and parrot out the same old drivel about
Jesus never having overturned the tables of the money lenders.

^ I've heard that the the Sadducees wore such big
phyllacteries on their foreheads that they drooped down and
obstructed their view. They would run into things, and people
would laugh at them. LOL 8)

I already refuted that obvious account. Killing and overturn
the table is hardly comparison, friend.

Not recognizing what is against Jesus' teachings are so abundant
in Christian community.
Practicing killing your enemy is the most hideous and
anti-Christ practice. It is the most hypocritical practice as
His followers because it involves the blood which is life..
