Questions???
By: James Date: August 29, 2013, 3:29 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Am I a spirit that lives in a body ?
Am I a soul that communicates to God via his spirit and with the
world via my body.
Or am I somewhere between where soul and spirit meet. Does any
of this matter as long as I continue to try to hear the Lords
voice and then to show I have indeed heard by the very act of
obedience.
If I live in a spiritual world without time, without the
restrictions of the body, where the power of God holds sway and
if this place is the same spiritual location of the abiding
presence of the all powerful God then I wonder why do I not
experience more of the super natural power of God?
Why do I not see Gods plan unfolding on the right hand and on
the left? Why do I not see flowers bloom as my spiritual God
likeness passes by? Why am I not amazed at tales of churches
bursting with sinners driven in by the supernatural power
emanating from the regular congregation?
In short if we are all so living in the supernatural why is it
not evident?
Ah well time for a bit of reality the chores have to be done and
I better get on with it.

You are not alone James, I often wonder the same thing. It also
seems that the only super natural things you hear about people
experiencing are often negative, ghosts and evil spirits. It
makes me honestly wonder how much truth is there to it , or if
it is simply ones imagination playing tricks on them. I
personally have never experienced anything super natural, that I
was certain enough about, to say if it was real or not.

Would people really want to live in a world where miracles were
commonplace? Where the worst sinners could do them? If your
neighbors didn't like where you parked your car, they could zap
it out of existence?
How about a world where if you got angry at someone and wished
him dead, he did drop dead.
I think most people really wouldn't want to live in a world
where anyone could perform miracles. We like the idea that each
person can move his body around and that's it. If you want to
move other things, you have to use your body somehow. In
general, that is the rule on this level of existence; and
miracles, even the best of them, are breaking the law. The
person who performs miracles pays a price for it. He loses
"virtue." If he has lots of it to spare, fine.
Anyone has the ability to do miracles as odd as that may sound.
In most people, most of their effort is directed at their
physical bodies. There are habits too which drain the body
like a short drains an electrical system. Too much sex is one.
Alcohol and drugs do. Nicotine does to a lesser extent. Any
meaningless action that is repetitive is going to "drain the
battery." Spending a lot of time and devoting a lot of energy
into watching sports drains people of their ability to do
miracles. Obsessions in short, and most people have obsessions
of one kind or another about their bodies. One is trying to
hang onto them.
You can test this theory using a phone book. Go to the ads for
companies. Find how many listings are not about human bodies
one way or another. My estimate is well over 95% of our time is
devoted to activities connected with our bodies.

Never had the negative in mind when I mentioned the super
natural, but I guess you have a point.
I was thinking of God miracles not blasting somebodies car
because I did not like them.
Then again it was the power I really had on my mind, one might
say power can not be abstract.
I know what I mean but have not conveyed it well.
I was thinking about the interaction of ourselves within a
spiritual dimension, hence the thought "we are spirit" plus "God
is spirit" so why not more evidence of our spiritual interaction
with the kingdom of Glory.
More slight glimpses into the hidden realm, as if catching sight
of something out of the corner of ones eye only to look again
and see it is not any longer there.
