It is awkward for a child at times. I remember feeling as if my
parents weren't my real parents. I couldn't explain why they
weren't; but I didn't feel as if they were. I also knew that
in one way they really were; and I also knew better than to say
anything about it. I was only about six, but I knew it would
hurt my Mother's feelings if I said anything.
Also true about contacting families from past lives. Mine
would think me a madman, I'm sure.
There is one thing that still annoys me about one past life.
When I died, a notebook that belonged to me got packed up and
sent to the Vatican. They still have it, and it doesn't belong
to them. I resent that. But what should I do? Write or call
the Pope and say, "You have this and it belongs to me, so give
it back?" They don't believe in reincarnation, so I doubt I
get very far with that approach. At the very least, they could
make the contents public so people could see it; but it's hidden
away where no one can read it.

How did you find out that it was packed and shipped to the
Vatican? Do you remember what was in it?

I am still learning the lesson that being the same as me is not
the criteria for not being "a madman".
Forums have taught me just how 'different' people can be.
And you Kerry, with your '9 life' reincarnations are just 'more'
different. ;)

[/quote]I just counted the ones I can remember on this planet.
I have glimpses of nine past ones and then there's this one.
There could be others I don't recall, but I haven't been on this
planet that long. You could call me a late comer. It will be
a relief when this planet gets straightened out and I can leave
without feeling I was stabbing friends in the back. If Jesus
didn't want me to stay, I would leave after this lifetime.
I've had enough of this planet -- that's how I feel emotionally,
and I know it's wrong.
What amazes me is why other people can't remember their past
lives. But then some people can't remember things that happened
in this life. I was talking to my sister about something that
happened when we were children, and she couldn't remember.
What's with that?
I realize the way I look at things isn't the way most people do.
Both my parents died not too many years ago. I'm already
fairly over it. My memories of them are beginning to resemble
my memories of past lives. The connections can be eternal, but
they take on a different form.
Something just happened that pleases me immensely regarding my
last lifetime and the connections there.
I do wish I could remember if I ever lived in Egypt. I can't
recall it, but it seems as if I must have. I must have blocked
it out if I ever lived there. I don't think I ever did though
because Egyptian pyramids and the like leave me cold. But that
could be rebelling against that lifetime, not wanting to
remember it. I think I just don't connect to that kind of
thing though because I never lived there; and most certainly I
can't remember being on this planet when the Pharaohs were
around! I just draw a blank on that kind of thing. Still it's
strange considering how important Egypt is to me now in this
lifetime.
Many people can't remember being toddlers. Does that mean they
never were? Or are they relying on other people's memories for
that? And of course, few people can remember being born or
before they were born. What does that mean? Ha, you believe
what you're told -- that's what that means.
Christianity and Islam -- two religions that don't believe in
reincarnation. I wonder why that is? Many Christians fantasize
about souls burning eternally in hell or flying off to Heaven
despite being in a dreadfully sinful state. I'd think some
people would be ashamed to show up in Heaven in their current
state. "Yes," St. Peter says to them, "Come on it, Heaven is
full of people like you. They want to rob, cheat, lie, and
rape. No problem. Come on in." And we can revise the Bible
to read, "Blessed are the impure of heart, for they shall see
God if they only say the magic words and believe in conventional
teachings about how to get into Heaven." Just say, "I accept
Jesus as my personal savior," and you're in! Yes, God planned
it that way -- you must be one of the special elect ones
destined for glory. Too bad about the others destined to fry in
hell or be wiped out of existence. Don't worry about them as
long as you make it in yourself. Just say the magic words, and
you're in!

belief can be dressed and presented unfavourably but those who

just had with someone on the phone. The man is looking for a
church and is getting frustrated.
He said he was talking to someone about Hindus who treated him
kindly. The Christian said they'd go to hell anyway. But of
course the Christian thought he was going to Heaven, good deeds
or no good deeds. He then attacked the Hindus saying their
reason for doing good deeds was probably based on trying to get
salvation by works. Oh, the excuses Christians have some
times. How that fellow thought he could read minds of others
and know people's motives is beyond me.
As for your theology? I think you'd be lost without the
writings of Paul. You seem to base your beliefs on his books,
and Peter warned us about this.
I think you should be able to see what I mean by visiting
"Christian" forums. People can be full of hate and still
think they're better than others. They're the "saved" ones,
and to hell with everyone else.

Hello Mike,
I was curious if you watched the video I posted in this thread?
If so I was interested on your thought, how would you explain
these children's experiences?

I personally have seen this type of activity myself, and thought
it strange that someone could be so cold and hateful yet believe
they were on the right path. Just today I was told about a guy
who is in ones opinion (Not mine) such a good person who Loves
God and help turn one said person to Christ, Yet this gentleman
has continued to go after and have relations with a women who
has been in a nineteen year relationship with another man and
has two children with him. My response was wow this guy in there
opinion is so Godly yet fails to follow the most basic and
straight forward commandment, Love they neighbor, Thou shalt not
covet thy neighbors wife, Thou shalt not commit adultery. Now I
am nobody to judge, and if I did I would be in the wrong; but my
gut tells me if that is ones idea of a good Godly man, something
is amiss. The same said one who was telling me about this
gentleman was also telling me that I was not a believer and that
I was an evil man. Every one has a right to there own opinions.
I just smirked and said ok

I posted the video in my forum and asked for explanations and
have had two so far (plus mine) and none accept reincarnation as
an explanation.
My explanation (no more than a guess/inclination) has been oft
stated, and is that spirits of the dead troll our universe
(without omnipresence) and are responsible for paranormal
influence. I guess/incline to believe that to be the explanation
for spiritualism and some instances of glossolalia and other
'Christian' sign seeking activities.
