Ghost
By: George Date: July 17, 2013, 10:00 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
How many of you guys believe in ghost? Lately I have been
hearing a lot of ghost sightings and stories, even in my own
house. A couple weeks ago a family member posted some pictures
of a supposed ghost in her closet, then last week we were sleep
when suddenly the dog started barking, I didn't get up to see
what he was barking at; but I remember the dog barking. The
following morning my girlfriend calls me and asks "why did
Joshua (my youngest son) come home at five a.m. and then leave
again?" He was staying at a friends house the previous night, I
said I didn't know he came home at five a.m. I haven't talk to
him, maybe he needed his phone charger or something I don't
know. Then I asked her how do you know he came home and left?
She replied didn't you hear the dog barking this morning? I said
yea. She says well I looked in the living room and seen Josh
walking into his bedroom, Then when I left for work I went back
there to check on him and he was gone. Later that day Joshua got
home and Dana asked him about it and he said, "I haven't been
home since I left the other day, I'm still wearing the same
cloths mom" She was stunned to hear that and swears she seen a
boy with shorts and a tank top walk into the bedroom.
Then yesterday I get a phone call from my best friend who moved
to Georgia about two years ago, he says your not going to
believe what I just seen! So I ask what did you see? He tells me
he was working and went to a service call to fix an A.C. unit
and him and the customer were talking outside and they seen a
ghost, he said it was so strange I could tell it was a young
black boy, I could see he was black and I could see what he was
wearing; but at the same time it was like he was transparent,
and then he walked through the fence into the woods and
disappeared. Now I am skeptical myself, I don't really believe
in ghosts. I have seen a lot of pictures and heard stories but I
have always said it is just the camera, or ones imagination.
Maybe a shadow or a glare in the camera lens, maybe a
reflection.
I don't know so I figured I would see if anyone here has had any
experiences or had any explanations that might shed some light
on this phenomena?

ghost. The dog would pick up either. I doubt it was a ghost
because of the way it was dressed. Most ghosts show up in
clothes from the era they lived in; and ghosts usually hang out
close where they died -- not always, but there's usually some
connection. It was probably Josh out of his body.
Then yesterday I get a phone call from my best friend who

Maybe a shadow or a glare in the camera lens, maybe a
reflection.
Yes, that sounds like a ghost to me; but
ghosts can appear several ways. Some appear quite solid, and
you could mistake them for a live person. Others are
transparent. The one I saw was completely black -- no details
showed up. She looked like a piece of black construction paper
-- and I couldn't see through it. I could tell it was a woman
by the outline; but it seems she had lost either the memory of
colors or couldn't project the colors.
Still other ghosts lose the ability to project a form that
resembles a human body -- they become circular globes. They do
retain an emotional charge however, and the color of the orb
tells you what their emotional state is. Ghostly orbs are ugly
colors or solid black -- and generally give you the creeps.
Some spirits appear as orbs also, but their colors are always
bright.
You never heard the story about the black orb that my cat saw?
That was Milhaus. He could see things. I was upstairs in my
bedroom when I saw this black orb come out of the wall between
the bedroom and bathroom. It headed towards me; and I knew I
wasn't imagining things because I could see Milhaus off to my
right; and he turned his head as the orb crossed the room. I
could tell he was watching it move. So it came at me, and hit
me in the stomach. Believe it or not, I wasn't frightened. It
didn't harm me in the least. I felt something hit me in my
solar plexus, and I laughed and said, "If you want to frighten
me, you'll have to do better than that." It was no longer
visible after it got pushed out of my body. I told it to leave.
I told Milhaus, "If you ever see anything like that again, you
can eat it." He put his two front paws in the air as if he was
catching something. That showed me he understood what I said,
but I think he thought I meant it was still in the room. I
said, "No, I think it's gone now, but if you ever see something
like that again, you can eat it." Ha, that would put that
ghost out of its misery.
Then it went upstairs into the attic. I know that because it
woke the squirrels up. I had squirrels in the attic because it
was winter, and they found a hole and came in. So the
squirrels started moving around; and then I heard them moving
their acorns. They were picking up their acorns and leaving.
In the dead of winter. Where were they going to go in the
middle of the night in the wintertime? It made me furious that
this thing was scaring them; so I had to resort to more extreme
measures. I don't know if it left or if it got bound and dealt
with; but it never came back.

^ Interesting. So movie directors who write these scripts for
movies about ghost are actually on to something? Ive seen a
couple movies that were supposed to be based on a true story. In
the movies they almost always seem to have unfinished or
unsettled business. Would you agree with that?
My friend from Georgia was telling me that the street he was on
was named after a young black boy who was killed on that street,
he said that a lot of the locals claim the boy was still hanging
around there.

This makes me feel a little better. To be honest I was a little
concerned that it might be a mothers intuition of a future
event. I would worry every time Josh went out with friends ever
since this experience Dana had. I didn't tell Josh that, and I
didn't stop him from going out. I didn't want my fears to
interfere with his everyday normal life.

unsettled business. Would you agree with that?
Yes, I
think so. The living sometimes "haunt" places too -- they can
move around being attracted back to places with unresolved
business; but ghosts as a rule have difficulty accepting the
fact they're dead. They are stuck replaying events.
Some objects or physical buildings can retain energy of the soul
-- have you ever heard of psychometry? A good psychic can
pick up and object and often tell you something of its history.
The soul is usually "attached" to physical bodies; but a soul
can also be attached to physical objects. The emotional level
can be a key to triggering "ghosts" in houses and from objects.
If the energy signature is grief and a living person is also in
grief (or close to it), they have affinity for each other; and
the "ghost" can materialize using the energy field of the living
person. Some people are a lot more likely to make this kind of
ghost materialize.
I knew a man who was went downhill and was very, very depressed.
When I went into his house, I could feel the "grief" oozing
from the walls. Perfect setting for a ghost if anyone had ever
died there -- but they hadn't.
I lived in a house we all thought was haunted; but I reached the
conclusion it was being haunted by a person who was still alive.
Very strange house. The most bizarre thing was how a
closet door opened onto the hall upstairs after you got to the
top of the stairs and turned right. You could open the closet
door and it would swing out into the hallway completely blocking
the hall; and one day I noticed there was a hook on the opposite
side of the hall. There was a bedroom door there opposite it;
and the hook was in the woodwork of that doorway. Yes, you
could use the closet door to lock someone upstairs by swinging
it to block the hall and keeping it that way using the hook on
the other doorway. If I have time, I may tell you some of the
odd things that happened there.
My friend from Georgia

but they're very hard to talk too. The only thing that seems to
interest them is replaying the event they're hung up on.
When I have time, I may tell you about a ghost in Harper's
Ferry. It's a long story since there's more to it than the
ghost business.

I reckon that all of that sort of thing finds explanation in my
belief that so called 'ghosts' are the spirits of the dead
(awaiting their return to God) trolling around without
omnipresence like satan in 'Job'.
They 'seek' receptive hosts, and delight when they find anyone
pro-actively seeking an 'indwelling' experience.
Entertain them at your peril IMO.

that was interested in possessing someone else's body. Forming
associations with them can be unhealthy, I'll grant you that;
but they don't need to enter a body to confuse people. A
depressed or unstable person who sees a ghost is surely at risk
since the emotional interactions with the ghost can stir up
inner conflicts which may be better left undisturbed until the
Holy Spirit says it's time to deal with them.
It is said God does not allow us to be tempted beyond what we
can endure; but I would say this is not true of ghosties, and
ghoulies and long-legged beasties and things that go bump in the
night. They can stir up things that bring temptations that can
overwhelm the person who chases after them out of idle curiosity
or the desire for amusement.

As a young teen I enjoyed ghost stories.
These days I think that they are spirits ...( not of the dead
though) I think some spirits like to inhabit bodies and other
spirits like to inhabit places. I don't believe any of them "
once lived".
Though one of my favourit movies that I have, love, and re-watch
is the Maggie Smith and Michael Caine ... "Curtain Call."
Brilliant! :)

Still other ghosts lose the ability to project a form that
resembles a human body. . . .
I was listening to Coast to Coast last night (or was it the
night before?), and they had a guy on who knew some things.
Sometimes they have crackpots, but this guy was talking about
how ghosts lose their ability to project details. He was
talking about ghosts at Gettysburg and commenting on how sharp
the details were on the uniforms and so on. He also noted how
this ability often fades over time. I agree with that. My
theory is that ghosts that get a lot of intention from the
living seem to fare better. They do that by sucking up energy
from the living. They are not exactly "vampires" but do
resemble in some ways.
The concept of the "hungry ancestor spirits" is not well known
in the Western world; and I learned about it by chatting with a
man from Hong Kong who was plagued by one his ancestors. This
goes back to the Chinese custom of offering food and incense to
the ancestors. Other cultures used to do it also; and I don't
approve of it since I think it encourages the "dead" to stagnate
and fail to move on. In China, it is usually the oldest male
of the household who is in charge of this, and the north wall of
the house is the area of the house associated with it -- unless
there is a place outside. Before the Flood, the oldest male
could go to the back of the house and summon his ancestors and
see them visibly. After the Flood, seeing them became harder
and less frequent; but the customs remained of offering them
food and incense.
The beliefs of the dead can influence them. The hungry ancestor
spirits need to be told they can go get a better form of
existence than trying to suck life out of their offspring; but
they appear stuck. Unlike ghosts who don't usually know they're
dead or won't accept it, the ancestor spirits know it and have a
belief system about what they should do.
