A Daily Thing...

---------------------------------------------------------
"And the ill favored and lean-fleshed kine did eat up the seven
well favored and fat kin.... and the thin ears swallowed up the
seven rank and full ears" Gen. 41:4, & 7.
I think there is maybe a warning for us in that dream. It's
possible for the best years of our life, the best experiences,
the best victories, the best actions, to be swallowed up by
times of failure, defeat, dishonor, uselessness.. in the
kingdom.
Some men's lives who were greatly 'used' have ended thin and
lean. It's a great shame .. but it is true. Yet it is doesn't
have to happen like it does.
I think that the only safety against such tragedy is "fresh
touch with God," daily.
The blessed, fruitful, and victorious experiences of yesterday
of no value to me today, ( except as encouragement which I
treasure) ..but they will be 'eaten up' unless they serve as
incentives to press into "the quite place" for richer and deeper
experiences with Father.
I think a "fresh touch from God," by spending time will keep the
lean kine and the ill favored grain out of our lives.
My two cents!

Worth quite a bit more than 2 cents, in my
estimation. Thank you Helen!
