CAUSE ME TO KNOW

CAUSE ME TO KNOW
“Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in
Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul to Thee.” Psalm 143:8
We cannot form and fashion a revelation out of our own mind, it
has to be born of the Spirit, as He “shall receive of Mine, and
shall shew it unto you”, (John 16:14). Hence the prayer remains,
“Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days,”
(Psalm 39:4), and “cause me to know the way wherein I should
walk.”
Perhaps one of the important facts to remember is that while
“to every thing there is a time, and a season for every
purpose”, and God does not skip over parts of His plan, yet that
which is to be revealed in fullness in coming days, has its
roots in the developments taking place in us today. The inner
formations of the Spirit, which are yet quite indefinable, must
be wrought in us now, if we would see the manifestations of
victory in coming days. There is an intertwining of events, so
that we read, “in the days of these kings shall the God of
heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed”,
(Daniel 2:44). He is not waiting until all the other kings are
destroyed, before He sets up His kingdom, it is being
established in the hearts of His elect now. Thus we need to know
the “measure of our days” now, that we might walk before Him
now, so that the foundations being laid in us now, we’ll see the
ultimate glories revealed.
Even now while iniquity abounds, His grace is also much more
abounding in the hearts of His elect. While the earthly rulers
press their claims upon men, in the midst of their years of
reign, the God of heaven is setting up His own kingdom, which
shall grow until it fills the whole earth. This is not an
instant manifestation of total kingdom over all the earth, but
the future victory is certainly rooted in the work of God within
the hearts of His apprehended ones today.
Lord, cause me to know for today Thy will for me, for in Thee
do I trust. Amen

Beautifully simple and true Laurie.
But sadly not the sort of post that generates many replies.
Needs to be controversial to do that. ;)

A reply isn't always necessary, dear Mike. :)
I don't always reply to posts and videos that give me a boost of
encouragement before I have go out and deal with whatever the
day might bring my way.
Don't be discouraged....your uplifting posts are appreciated.
It is a wonderful thing to be able to fellowship with a
spiritual like-mindedness---and more often than not....the hope,
joy, and peace being gleaned from the lines are way more
rewarding.

Still, it's nice to get feedback. If no one says anything
about something I post, I wonder if I should shift gears. Maybe
it's not their cup of tea? When someone says they like
something, it's an encouragement to do more along the same
lines.
In a way, it's like cooking. Do the people like this dish or
not? If they say nothing, maybe they don't? If they say they
do, it's a clue how to please them in the future.
LOL, and it gets the post count up too! :)

LOL. Maybe they're too busy eating...maybe they already know
it's gonna be good...maybe they're just relaxing, or dreaming,
or contemplating, or appreciating having their appetite so
wonderfully satiated.
I could always ask....so how did you like that dish? Or, I
could just look and see what was left uneaten.
There are many, many posts and videos where the views far
outnumber the replies. :D

^ That's assuming there's no dog under the table to take what
the humans don't want but also don't want to leave on their
plates?

I would wonder what is the real intention of the poster? If they
post positive things for others, I don't see where it would
matter much about replies. I agree with Laurie, The amount of
views says how many have read it. If they choose not to reply,
then so be it. If there is no question posed then every one can
say beautiful, or thank you if they choose. But when the poster
is always complaining about no replies, it makes me wonder, did
they make the post to help others, or are they expecting replies
to flatter themselves? If your intent is truly to help others,
or post something uplifting that you hope lifts the spirits of
others, then what does it matter about replies?
If you seen a bum on the streets and you handed them a burger,
and they tore into that burger walked off and never said thank
you, would you think, well he didn't say thank you so he wasn't
appreciative therefor I wont ever give that bum anything again?
It is my opinion if your intention is pure in that you are
trying to be encouraging, or helpful, then one wouldn't complain
about feed back. feed back has nothing to do with the person
trying to be encouraging or helpful.
Yes it is nice to know that you are appreciated. But if you need
to be reminded every time you do something that it is
appreciated in order for you to feel complete, I say there is
something wrong within you, and your intentions are not pure.
Just my 2 cent.

^ I don't think you can always judge a thread by the number of
views. There's no guarantee that people liked it or even read
it all. At You Tube, I often don't watch a whole video because
it's not appealing to me, but I think it registers as a view.
I've also been a member at other sites where I kept hoping
people would stop posting the same stuff they had posted in the
past. I'd be tempted to click on the thread. Sometimes I would
read the first line and that was enough.

I think we're all right....feedback is nice....not always
necessary---probably depends on the type of post.
I've been chatting with most here for a while....I feel
comfortable---not bothered by lack of replies or differences.
I don't see any of my friends here as having intentions other
than sharing and discussing---it's a social outlet for me, where
I can talk about 'whatever'.
I've been a little quiet lately, too much junk going on and I
don't want to sound like 'woe is me'---LOL!
