I sometimes wonder that you do not get tired of my preaching,
because I do nothing but hammer away on this one nail. With me
it is, year after year, "None but Jesus!" Oh, you great saints,
if you have outgrown the need of a sinner's trust in the Lord
Jesus, you have outgrown your sins, but you have also outgrown
your grace, and your saintship has ruined you!

When trust is perfect and there is no doubt, prayer is simply

One hundred religious persons knit into a unity by careful
organizations do not constitute a church any more than eleven
dead men make a football team.
The first requisite is life, always.

May your troubles be less,
your blessings more,
and may nothing but happiness,
come through your door.

it has no point."

"Don't look back. Learn from the past, but don't yearn to
return to it."
~ Kerry ~
I like that. How often I have yearned for the things 'behind'
which were good.
I keep trying to remind myself...that I can't look in two
directions at the same time! ( but as quoted above) ...I can
carry with me everything I have learned and is good, from the
past, AS I continue to move forward in and with God! :)

I will trust Him. Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be
thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; in
perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my
sorrow may serve Him. My sickness, or perplexity, or sorrow may
be necessary causes of some great end, which is quite beyond us.
He does nothing in vain.
