George, you're making it up as you go along.....always have
been.
You want to set it all up to suit how you want it to
be....always have done.
You certainly don't want it to be how anyone else sees it.....at
least not how any other 'Christian' sees it..... that's how it
will always be.
It's the expression of the 'chip on your shoulder re the
'Christianity' that you've been close to and grown to hate.
You ignore Kerry's explanation of the "you are all gods"
passage, just like you ignore everything that anyone ever tries
to explain.(unless perchance it fits close to your hatred of
Christianity.)
You are closer to Atheism than any Atheist I've encountered.

Here comes those stones!
My understanding is ever changing I admit. Making it up along
the way? A bit far fetched as I have never made up anything.
there is no church of George!
I didn't ignore Kerry at all, He asked a question, He insinuated
about Jesus referring to Israel. Where is the explanation? I may
have missed it. I certainly didn't ignore it.
Here is a question, If you choose not to cast your pearls, that
is fine, the question is since you aren't willing to cast pearls
did Jesus say to throw stones?
I must admit you are becoming a bit of a troll. Never nothing
positive to add but quick to give your negative opinion,
accusing me of negativity. I will take a line from Charles
Manson, I am just a mirror all that you are trying to project on
me is truly just a reflection of yourself!
I don't mind Mike, you can keep throwing your insecurities on me
and making me out to be the bad guy here. I have broad
shoulders, I will help carry your weight brother! ;) Just know,
I do not hate Christianity, I hate false leaders! Hypocrites!
Wolves in sheep's clothing! Those are the things I really hate!

If I was(not saying I have), would that justify you throwing
stones back? If I recall Jesus said let he who is without sin
cast the first stone. So would two wrongs make a right?
From my perspective I have been to busy ducking, bobbing,
weaving, and getting hit in the head to throw any stones; but it
is not impossible to imagine that I could have in a defensive
manner thrown one back. If you feel I am throwing stones please
do explain.

In psychology it's called projection. Psychology though is just
a poor substitute for Our Master's teachings:
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that
judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest
thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Romans
2:1
and, as written in the Amplified:
Therefore you have no excuse or defense or justification, O man,
whoever you are who judges and condemns another. For in posing
as judge and passing sentence on another, you condemn yourself,
because you who judge are habitually practicing the very same
things [that you censure and denounce].
and in the Message:
1-2 Those people are on a dark spiral downward. But if you
think that leaves you on the high ground where you can point
your finger at others, think again. Every time you criticize
someone, you condemn yourself. It takes one to know one.
Judgmental criticism of others is a well-known way of escaping
detection in your own crimes and misdemeanors. But God isn’t so
easily diverted. He sees right through all such smoke screens
and holds you to what you’ve done.
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are
defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and
conscience is defiled. Titus 1:15
I will take from your opening statement that in
your understanding it is wrong to think of ourselves as gods.
Why or where did you get this idea?
George...I feel no need to control how anyone thinks of
themselves....just myself.
My understanding is that God is the Deity....and I am not. He
can grow me to share in His Divine nature....but He alone is
God, the Deity.
And, no, I don't believe in a hell as being a state of eternal
torment. I can see there being a second death that may cause
differing degrees of internal torment....but temporary,
necessary, and with a wonderful result.
I'm off to work....but will try to explain my thoughts on the
other stuff later.
