Poverty???

What is poverty in our over indulgent part of the world?
Is there a base line?
Could you do without your Mobile, TV, lap top, Booze or
Fags(Cigarettes) ?

Of the list you wrote above...I only have a TV and lap top...and
yes...could easily do without either. Maybe that day is not too
far off!!!

Would love to do without the TV...but no go, Dave loves his
sports.
At my age and with our long winters I would not want to be
without a computer for quite contact and finding quick answers
to questions.
As for cell phones...hate 'em. Booze, have never used
it...cigarettes ..have never smoked.

I don't know about do without. What I do know is that as far as
a lot of people are concerned poverty is when you have a family
to feed and no food in the cupboard.
This is why food banks have sprung up all over the place
providing food for three days minimum.
