       Overcoming

       To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life,
       which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7
       We must fight if we will reign,  we must carry on the warfare
       until we overcome, or else the promise is not for us, since it
       is only for “him that overcometh.”
       We are to overcome our own fainting heart and habit of slipping
       from our first love.
       If by grace we win the day, then we shall be welcomed to the
       very centre of the Glory of God and live ever in the divine
       presence. To shrink from conflict will be to lose the joy of the
       new and better 'Eden'.. to fight on to the victory is to walk
       with God in That Perfect Day.

       Yes!
       Paul knew who he was in conflict with.
       He did not beat the air or shadow box, he also knew he did not
       fight flesh and blood.
       His desire was to keep under the body of thought he had built up
       over the years, instilled by the elders teaching as well as by
       his own life's circumstances.
