Mary Neal discusses her near death experience

It's a rather long article but I found it worth the read. It
made sense to me.

Wow, what a wonderful testimony - right I am late for getting
ready for work now - worth reading though x

I read the article and some of the things she said are similar
to what my husband said happened to him during his NDE.

Fascinating piece of news. There aren't many details though.
Senator Kirk said that he saw three angels when he had a stroke
about a year ago. They asked him if he wanted to go with them,
and he told him he wanted to hold off.

It's interesting how he was given a choice whether or not to go
with them.
Yes, it is. I can't recall (off the top of my head)
another case where someone was given that choice. It was so
unusual I asked myself if that was a reason to doubt the
validity of the experience; but when I thought about it, I
figured it could be possible. Perhaps other people were given
the choice, and most of them decided to go?
I'm glad he decided to reveal it. I think when more people make
the tough choice to go public, it won't be seen as such a
strange thing.

I can't remember anyone given a choice, either...though have
heard of some resuscitated who would have rather not been.
Kirk's life and outlook would be
dramatically changed, the stroke serving as a defining moment
that he said deepened his faith and altered his sense of
purpose.
I thought that statement interesting....and wonder if the
journalist really understood what it might mean.

say, but I'd think the journalist would have had to wondered at
least a little. It may be interesting to watch the Senator's
career and see if his new sense of purpose works for the good.
On the other hand, perhaps something dire may be in store for
him and he was given the chance to avoid it. If so, he can't
complain when it happens. I'm guessing, and it's probably a
waste of time.

A neurosurgeon's near-death experience changes his life.
"As a neurosurgeon, I did not believe in the phenomenon of
near-death experiences. I grew up in a scientific world, the son
of a neurosurgeon. I followed my father’s path and became an
academic neurosurgeon, teaching at Harvard Medical School and
other universities. I understand what happens to the brain when
people are near death, and I had always believed there were good
scientific explanations for the heavenly out-of-body journeys
described by those who narrowly escaped death."

^ Quite a few of these stories seem to be showing up. Here's
another about a woman from San Antonio from last year. I just
found it.

Fair says her near-death experience helped the family when just
a few months later her grandson was seriously injured. He was
left in a wheelchair and nearly blind. "And I really think
there was a purpose to (the near-death experience) because when
all of this happened with him I told my son and daughter-in-law
there is nothing... And if I can tell everybody in the world one
thing, there's nothing to ever be afraid about.
People are so afraid of this or that. Small potatoes, don't
worry about it."
