       My greatest present

Given that Jesus is the very best of gift to all in the world.
Why do some not recognise it's with them,
       1. put it to one side,?
       2. discard it?
       3. don't open it?
       4. ignore it's continent?
or 5. don't realise that it is fully theirs to acknowledge &
       use?.

I sometimes wonder if part of the reason is the way the good
       news is presented.
Joy to the World...Peace on Earth...Good Will to Men...has no
       ring of condemnation in it.
Yet, I have heard "invitations" that likened Jesus to a glass of
iced water suspended over a fiery pit....then, if you manage to
grab the "glass", you have to jump through hoops.

Yours I found interesting Laurie, good point.
       1. put it to one side,? ** I did for many years not knowing it
       had been given to me.
       2. discard it? ** In fertile ground or threw it out
with some weed not knowing one from another.
       3. don't open it? **Because they haven't heard of it's
       invaluable content.
       4. ignore it's content? ** Lack of faith!! that it's not a snake
       or a stone.
or 5. don't realise that it is fully theirs to acknowledge &
       use?.

I agree... I think that the way things are presented do pose the
biggest misunderstandings... As you said Joy Joy Joy, Peace and
Good will... All sound great... But that is nothing to do with
the reason why Jesus had to take it upon himself and humble
himself even unto death... "The news of salvation" Is great news
indeed... But it isn't lights and bells and wrapping paper...
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE AND ENJOY the holidays!!! If nothing
more than for the quality family time most people will spend
with there family... But I to wonder sometimes...

A cross & nails & troubles in the package with the love, joy,
peace etc. With out troubles how else would we be
       strengthened.!!

Which is the bigger problem? your's or you as one who should
       have their eyes on Him.
These are easy to quote, read & say but how do we
put it into practice in perseverance & tenacity???
