Yes, lol, I feel fine. But, you know, I think I will be watching
the news on the 21st too. They will be covering the
survivalist's activities won't they?

[/quote] No doubt. :D
I can't believe that some people are so worked up over this that
they're thinking about suicide. :( NASA says they're getting
calls from people about Planet X and Nibiru and so on, and some
are so worried they're thinking about killing themselves. They
put up a webpage to reassure these people.

There is one thing that does bother me about all this hoopla.
That is the effect it is having on the young... the not out of
school yet young. Some are of the opinion that nothing matters
and question why they should care about education and etc.
I guess that is one thing that is good about the survivalist's
activities... it staves off hopelessness. Perhaps that is one
reason why they do it.

^ I've no doubt that dark forces are behind some of it, trying
to get people alarmed and fearful. If they can get young people
to kill themselves, the dark forces may think that is fine.
The good thing is that that the people who live through such
foolishness may come to see how silly it is to fear such things.
They could drive themselves crazy with such things. The Dark
Side by playing tricks like this is weakening itself. Didn't
the Mayans practice human sacrifice? Who would take anything
seriously from their calendar or anything else? If scaring
themselves half-senseless is what it takes, perhaps that's a
good thing for the ones who manage to survive?

Yes, a very good thing. It's a lesson they will never forget.
Hopefully the adults will learn something too! :D

A Catholic Bishop in Chile has a suggestion for people who think
the world is going to end on December 21.
According to local newspaper La Prensa Austral, the bishop said
that those who believe the Mayan prophecy should donate their
worldly goods to the Church.
“If there are many who believe the world will end on Dec. 21,
as the Church, we have no problem with them naming us as the
beneficiaries of their possessions in their wills,” he quipped
in a Dec. 9 interview.
. . .
To those who are convinced that the world is ending next week,
Bishop Bastres said “I assure them that after Dec. 21, we will
eternally pray for them.”
“Because I am sure that we will all be alive after that date.
If they wish to pass on, they could do enormous good by donating
their properties to the Church.”
Now that's my kind of Bishop. What a good sense of humor.

Hmmm....I wonder if they'll be partying on End of the World Eve
with fireworks at midnight? If they get shwasted on
booze...Friday might feel like the end of the world. :D
Is anyone selling 'I Survived the End of the World, Again'
T-shirts?
I might like one of those.
When my youngest daughter asked me about the last day of the
Mayan calendar being the end of the world I told her to research
it....see what the Mayan's are saying.
Didn't take her long to find out that after the last day of that
calendar comes the first day of the new one. ;)

The Vatican weighed in on it. The Pope's astronomer says
there's nothing to worry about.

Probably so since the ad in the forum header that pops up ever
since I looked already has them cheaper. :D
I'm also getting a Sears ad about tools ever since my note to
Leaf where I mentioned me not being the sharpest tool in the
shed---LOL---kind of creepy, though.
