One I hadn't seen

Drinking and Driving
I would like to share an experience with you about drinking and
driving.
As you well know, some of us have been lucky not to have had
brushes with
the authorities on our way home from our various social sessions
over the
years.
A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some
friends and
had a few too many beers and then topped it off with a
margarita. Not a
good idea.
Knowing full well I was at least slightly over the limit, I did
something
I've never done before: I took a taxi home.
Sure enough I passed a police road block but because it was a
taxi, they
waved it past.
I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real
surprise. I have
never driven a taxi before and am not sure where I got it.

This one was new to me too...you may have sen it.
An elderly woman had just returned to her home from an evening
of religious service when she was startled by an intruder. As
she caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its
valuables, she yelled, "Stop - Acts 2:38!" (..turn from your
sin...) The burglar stopped dead in his tracks.
The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had
done.
As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the
burglar, "Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was
yell a scripture to you."
"Scripture?" replied the burglar, "She said she had an AXE and
two 38's!"

An elderly woman just made the news in California. The
disabled grandmother fought off 13 intruders with a shotgun and
a can of bear spray. They were after her marijuana plants.
She said she's getting out of the business of growing medical
marijuana now because she doesn't want her grandchildren around
any danger.

WOW... 13 intruders against one determined grandmother! Well,
one determined grandmother, a gun and a can of bear spray, LOL.

[/quote]Well, it was California. Almost anything is possible
in California except electing a Republican as Senator. She may
have had the gun and bear spray for bears. I should see if I
can find the video of the bears that were lounging by someone's
pool. I think it was in California.
Speaking of their Senators, Senator Boxer is short, so short
she sometimes stands on a box. Senator Feinstein is very tall
for a woman. I don't know how tall she is; but she looks almost
twice as tall as Boxer.
