       Small Miracles
By: Justin Mangonel Date: November 25, 2012, 1:42 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
One day I entered into a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant with
my wife and son. We liked the Colonel’s chicken and looked
forward to our meal. As we sat down I spied a man sitting alone
in a corner booth. For some reason he seemed nervous and out of
place and perhaps even homeless (although he was not dressed
particularly badly). For some reason my heart went out to him.
We ordered our meals and sat down to wait for our food to
arrive. I noted that the man I had seen was still sitting at
the booth without being served and I felt in my spirit that I
       should buy him a meal.
I always make it a practice to ask our Father what I should do
in such situations so I prayed, “Father, should I buy this man a
meal?” God answered and said, “No, wait a minute.” So I obeyed
and stayed seated until our meals were ready to be picked up.
When called to the counter I was handed four meals instead of
three. I said, “Excuse me, but I only ordered three meals.”
The server said, “oh sorry, our mistake, but just take the extra
one if you want”. I thanked her and took our meals to our table
and then gave the extra one to the man sitting alone in the
corner booth. I said, “Excuse me, but we have an extra meal.
Would you like it?” He appeared shocked but said, “God bless
you” and gratefully accepted the meal.
One day the Holy Spirit drew me to a city cemetery. I did not
know why I was standing among the gravestones, but the Holy
Spirit was very insistent that I be there. As I prayed it was
as if two invisible hands grasped my shoulders pressing me
forward, guiding me as I walked. I was led to one side of the
large cemetery and brought before a particular gravestone and
the Holy Spirit said, “Kneel down and kiss this grave stone.” I
thought it was an odd request, but I obeyed, knelt, and kissed
the top of the grave head. As I gazed upon the stone I noticed
a Christian lamb engraved in it. The inscription below the lamb
told of a lady who had lived in the 1800′s who was a
believer. Again the invisible hands propelled me forward and
stood me in front of another gravestone on the other side of the
cemetery and bade me to do the same thing. After kissing that
stone I read again of another lady that lived in the same time
period who was a Christian. The Spirit spoke to me and said,
“These two women were prayer warriors and because of their
prayers you have been brought here to this city today.”
In that city God spoke through me mightily, they called it “the
visitation”, and the Holy Spirit shook the whole area in
revival. I was made to realize that my being there was the
fruit of their prayers over a hundred years ago. God made sure
that I honored them for what they did for without their
faithfulness what God accomplished in that city would not have
       been possible.
There was another day when I was driving around with my wife and
the Holy Spirit directed me park in the middle of a railroad
crossing. After parking across the tracks the Spirit said, “Get
out, sit down and pray.” I sat down on the tracks with my back
up against the car and prayed with my wife (who was really
nervous) for about an hour then God said we could leave. The
next day I was directed to the same set of tracks but this time
I was told to stop the normal distance from the crossing and
wait. Suddenly, without warning, a train roared by us at about
70 miles per hour. God knows everything and if we will listen
to His voice we will be safe in doing whatever He leads us to
       do.
A young man wanted prayer because he felt that he was too weak
to walk with God. He feared that Satan would somehow take his
soul and he would go to hell. Ministers gathered around him and
prayed that God would help and keep him strong. By the Spirit I
held back until they finished, then went up and put my hand out
making a tight fist. I said to the young man, “Open my hand.”
He tried half-heartedly and failed then I said, “Open my hand!”
with a commanding voice. This time he really tried but could
not even raise one little finger and then protested, “I can’t do
it!” Then the Lord said, “Thus says the Lord, Neither can Satan
take you out of My hand”.
One day I was feeling down and asked the Lord to show Himself to
me. I was directed to park in a center of a certain lot in the
midst of a city. As I was praying a group of about five
children with Downs Syndrome came up to my car. They said, “We
want to sing you a song” and so I said, “That would be nice.” So
       they all sang;
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so, little
ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong, yes Jesus
loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, the bible
       tells me so.”
They laughed, giggled, and continued on their way.
On another day I again asked the Lord to show Himself to me. I
was directed to park in the same place at the same lot.
Presently, what looked to be a street person and an old lady
came and stood over by the bus sign. The Lord directed me to
speak to her. As I started talking I learned that her and her
husband had ran the city mission for homeless people for the
last twenty years, but now her husband had Alzheimer’s and was
confined to a bed in the building across the street. His one
wish was to go back home before he died. The lady agreed to
take me to see him and as I stepped out of the elevator into a
third story room I saw perhaps 50 elderly people. They were in
wheel chairs and twisted grotesquely and many were barely
cognizant of their surroundings. We prayed for her husband. It
is strange that of all the people in the entire city God was
deeply concerned about an old man and his faithful wife that no
one remembered. I weep even now thinking about it.
I was driving by a radio station one day and God said that I
should go in and speak to the director. This was a scary thing
to do so I drove past the station and went around the block
before I summoned up the courage to obey His voice. I went into
the building and asked to see the director. As I was shown to
the director’s office I was wondering what this was about but
sat down when he offered a chair. It was not obvious from the
front of the building but I had happened upon a Christian radio
station. He said, “What can I do for you?” I replied without
thinking, “I am Michael from just outside of Seattle Washington
and I have a message from God that I want to put on your radio
station”. He stared for a moment, but then said, “Ok, what is
the message.” I was stunned that he responded positively. The
manager asked me to write down the message and bring it to him
tomorrow. I did so, and he recorded it saying, “How would you
like to put it on the radio?” The Lord prompted me to say, “For
four days, seven times per day,” to which He agreed. I asked
him about payment and He said there would be no charge for a
message from God. I learned from the station director that two
weeks before I arrived a woman came into his office and told him
that God was sending a man named Michael from just outside of
Seattle to his city and he was to do whatever was asked of him.
For the last two weeks the station director’s wife had been
either singing or humming “Michael row the boat ashore”
       incessantly.
When the message played on the station people were stirred to
the depths of their souls. A woman was holding a pot of freshly
cooked food in her kitchen when the message aired and the
anointing fell so strongly she dropped the pot. A man listening
to the radio was sure God was speaking directly to him out of
his car’s stereo. The stations switchboards lit up and the city
fell to its knees in prayer.
God knows what to do and when to do it. His true power is not
in big flashy programs or large sums of money, but in our
obedience to His still small voice even in the very smallest
things. A message given in obedience according to His will at
the proper time can stir a region for Christ more than fifty
large crusades costing millions of dollars. Once we come to
this realization God will be free to move in truly spectacular
       ways.

Hello Justin. Nice to see you here.
Okay a question. Did all this happen on this side of the world,
       or 'over -there'?
I have heard many people have visitations and miracles happen,
not not so much in the western world.
We did have an old friend who saw many miracles happen in his
life, ..God spoke, he acted on it, things happened. Trouble is
that was 40 years ago...it doesn't seem to be happening now!
So, Where and when did these things take place?
Cheer me up by saying " last week" ;D
       Bless you...

       Dear Runner,
Most of these things happened during the summer of 1993 while I
was in American - mostly in Texas. I have experienced some
amazing things overseas too but it seems if you listen to God
anywhere he will do kewl stuff.
I think the last interesting thing that happen is that I felt,
by the Spirit, to send 20 dollars to a woman in Africa that I
never send money too...in fact we never talk...I just know about
her. She has not husband but has three small children. I
really didn't have the funds to spare to I sent them along with
money I usually send for orphans. The day the money arrived the
lady showed up. She was very afraid because her land lord had
come in the morning and said that if she did not pay her rent
she would be evicted by night fall. She said she did not know
what to do. They the person whom I had sent the funds to told
her that she had been sent 1500 shillings to pay her rent. She
burst into tears and cried with relief and was so grateful to
       God for the funds.
In truth it was not much for me but it was everything for her.
It also showed her that her prayer were heard by God. It was
just a still small voice that spoke to my heart and mind. I
think if we were all sensitive to His Spirit and did what we
felt to do when we felt to do it then many small and even some
       great miracles would take place.

I enjoyed reading your experiences Justin. It was very uplifting
and encouraging. I would like to hear more when you have time to
       share. :)
