Forum Rules

The purpose of this forum is to encourage courteous exchanges in
a variety of topics. The goal is to obey the Golden Rule. If
you do not believe you can post within the following rules,
please do not register.
1. Bad language or substitutions of asterisks or other symbols
to circumvent filters should not be used.
2. No advertising or spamming.
3. No posting of explicit or suggestive sexual content.
4. No excessive posting of the materials of other persons
without their permission or in violation of copyrights. We
encourage members to express their own views. Copy and pasted
articles are permissible if not excessively long and in the
public domain.
5. No personal attacks, implied insults, or snide remarks.
6. No threads in the main section about other members. If
it's personal, please keep it in the Lounge where personal
interaction is encouraged since it is visible only to other
members and not to guests.
7. No stalking or trolling.
9. No posting of misleading or deceptive material.
10. No derogatory remarks of other religions, races,
nationalities, etc. Remember that people are individuals and we
should not judge them by a group they may be in.
11. Avoid please mentioning other forums or members from other
forums in a negative manner.
12. If you see what you consider infractions of the rules,
please notify the moderators. Do not try to handle things
yourself. That can make things worse.
13. No public arguing with the moderators. If you have a
concern, feel free to contact a moderator by PM.
14. If in doubt, always try to apply the Golden Rule.
15. Avoid excessive use of colors, fonts, sizes and other
features that may confuse others and make your posts more
difficult to read.
Violations of these rules may result in a warning (either
private or public), suspension of certain privileges, or
banning.

Rule 15 added:
15. Avoid excessive use of colors, fonts, sizes and other
features that may confuse others and make your posts more
difficult to read.
This rule is not directed at any member but added when I saw a
post on another site that had so many colors, sizes and the
like, I could scarcely read it. I was confounded what all the
colors and sizes meant; and things kept changing so much, it was
hard to read.

Rule 11 amended by adding the phrase, "in a negative manner."
