For some silly reason in the guest thread where we said ‘hello’
, I’d forgotten how to respond to a post , I could see the quote
button! It was probably right in front of me!
So I thought I’d start a post here and hope it’s on the right
spot.
Glad that you still get joy from your garden Kerry…that’s
great to hear. I remember years ago you sent me a googlearth
link and I saw your house etc…so I can picture you out there
gardening. :)
Sadly I can no longer enjoy gardening. I damaged my back
badly two years ago. I’m not in pain reclining in my chair , or
laying in bed . Standing or walking is not good at all.
We have moved from where we were , into a beautiful walk
out basement apartment with big picture windows. Perfect for the
few years ahead . So now we are below our daughter and son in
law. ( who are in their 60’s now )
I agree Cathy ( or is it Kathy , I forget..sorry ) Old
age does seem to come with health issues …not fun at all.
Glad to hear that you are holding your own in that area .
Both Cathy and you Kerry mention politics …I have to say
I never thought I’d still be alive to see the darkness which is
upon the earth. I knew it was coming , we’ve all read
Revelation…I just didn’t think that I’d still be here.
I’m not stupid enough to think that this is as dark as it’s
going to get …
If we try to make sense out of it all , then we end up down
the rabbit hole …as it’s all crazy , just as the leaders are all
crazy.
I have to remind myself often that we do not wrestle
against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers …
Poor Canada is such a mess , and England is even worse ,
….the destruction from within on both counts was well and
cleverly crafted …and the people seem as sheep being lead to the
slaughter . The blindness just amazes me!
But we continue to praise God and live in Him, one day at a
time.
The good and encouraging thing is …We’ve read the end of
the Book and we know Who wins ! ;D

[/quote]A few years ago, I had terrible back pain. My Mother
used to go to a chiropractor and loved it. I decided to try it.
How times have changed. My Mother's chiropractor massaged her
body; but mine had some kind of vibrator. It would be okay for
a day and then the pain started again. My back muscles were
too weak to keep the vertebrae in place, so I took up doing back
exercises. They really helped a lot. When I checked, I found
out Canada's basic healthcare doesn't cover chiropractors, but
some supplemental plans do.
Speaking of darkness, I was trying to see what was happening in
Washington DC. My spiritual sight is poor now; but it was as
darkness covered the whole city. Pulling back to get a wider
view, it was darkness over the whole country.
I changed what I pray for. There are good people who feel
discouraged and are ready to give up. There are the innocent
children too who may stumble if they grow up without a trace of
Light. I asked Jesus to send his angels across the land and even
across the world to give Light to those who were ready to
receive it. I do believe some were glad to hear since I later
saw what looked small pinpoints of Light. If Jesus is the
Light, they received him. I even read with my physical eyes so
news which encouraged me that good people were speaking up.
Those "principalities and powers" may crave total power over the
earth; but they will never get it.
How do I pray for the people in power? I ask Jesus to send
angels to them to whisper, "Do the right thing." I don't need
to know what that is and often I don't since I don't know all
the facts. My prayers to do the right thing may be driving some
of the bad ones crazier. If Jesus revealed something to them
and they disobeyed, their minds will start going spiritually
insane. . . . and insane in the physical world too. On the
other hand, good people may develop courage to do the right
thing if an angel whispers it to them.

I was working in the garden and thinking of what you and
Heartsong had written here. A song we used to sing in church
when I was a kid came to mind. I couldn't recall all the
words, and I wanted to hear it again so I looked it up on You
Tube. "God Leads Us Along."
