       Adams Mother

No doubt all on this forum know the answer to my question. I do
not see it as important , yet it does not leave me, therefore it
could be important to me once I know the answer.
The scripture- And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and
flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was
       taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and
shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
By which scripture I understand it was advisable for Adam to
leave his father and mother and become one with his wife. As
Adam had no father and mother in the biological sense he was
probable speaking of the future children he would sire.

Yet it appears to me that if I look at the anecdotal evidence
in the bible men did not cleave and leave but took brides and
stayed within a growing family. Abraham , Issac and Jacob
dwelling together in tents. Living a nomadic life together. The
children of Israel in the wilderness, so called one oversized
       happy family.
Getting to my question, what did the injunction of Adam really
mean because I don’t see those coming behind him following his
       admonishment.??

haha! What an eye catcher of a title !
As I muse on it…it seems that it must mean the ‘one flesh’
thing….the cutting of the parental umbilical cord….no longer the
first allegiance being ma and pa, but now being joined to a
       wife.
Where did “wife” come in..I wonder if that was the original
word . We know there was no “marriage” except the first ‘coming
       together ‘.
I wonder what wife means in the original text.
Therefore if it is a spiritual or emotional umbilical cord ,
then the distancing is not of humping off up the road with a
wife to the next town , but of the first important closest union
and relationship , is now with ‘husband and wife’ …yet still
honouring the dad, as the leader of the tribe. “Every man in
       his own order “.
As said , in the eastern cultures the man did not leave his
home (ma and pa) but he took the wife into the house ( mansion
or tent) just as God /Christ , will take His bride into His
mansion/tent / temple , and become fully one with her.
Just my two cents …looking forward to reading other views …..H
