       Child Molestation Is Not Funny
       By: guest6 Date: September 2, 2019, 5:18 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The youtube video about this comedy skit on the Sarah Silverman
       show has been taken down.
This is not in any way funny and shouldn't be allowed. It's very
hurtful to victims of child molestation which should be
understood without having to spell that out.
To “normalize” is to make acceptable. One way to normalize
pedophilia is via so-called jokes and comedy sketches.
In a 2010 skit, “Creepy Van Guy,” on her Comedy Centralshow,
unfunny comedienne Sarah Silverman — told a kid to p** in her
mouth, then asked another unfunny comedian, Patton Oswalt, if
       he’s attracted to children.
The skit begins with Sarah Silverman driving a black van with
its windows blacked out. The interior of the van is a ****’s
dream, decorated to lure kids with candy, a TV set and a drum
set. Inside are two young boys and a girl.
Here’s the dialogue in the skit:
Silverman to the little kids in her van: “If you’re having a
good time, be sure to tell all your friends.”
Boy: “Hey, van lady. Can we pull over? I need to make pee-pee.”
Silverman: “Just go in my mouth.”
The scene then changes to Silverman walking up to Patton Oswalt
at the driver’s seat of another black van.
Silverman: “Excuse me. I’m sorry, could I ask you a really crazy
       question?”
       Oswalt: “Yeah, sure.”
Silverman: “Do you ever have weird thoughts about, um,
       children?”
Oswalt: “Jesus! Hey, I don’t know who you think you’re talking
to, but I would never look at a child that way.”
Silverman: “I’m so sorry! I don’t know what’s wrong with me,
I’ve been having these really strange….”
Oswalt interrupts her, “Oh, just just wait,” and with his right
hand making the devil’s horns sign, leers at a teenage boy
passing by: “Oh, my god, sign me up with that!”
       The boy turns to look.
Oswalt grimaces: “Butter face, ugh. I gotta go.”

Now a tweet Silverman made nearly a decade ago has been
uncovered with some saying it was out of line.
"Hey, is it considered molestation if the child makes the first
move? I'm gonna need a quick answer on this," Silverman tweeted
       in 2009.

Jokes about child molestation are becoming more and more
frequent and this time by Dave Chappelle.
Dave Chappelle jokes about child molestation and defends Michael
Jackson in new Netflix special Sticks and Stones
Dave Chappelle makes sick jokes about child molestation and says
he doesn’t believe Michael Jackson’s accusers in his new comedy
       special.
Chappelle continued: ‘I don’t think he did it, but you know
what? Even if he did do it … you know what I mean? I mean, it’s
Michael Jackson. I know more than half the people in this room
have been molested in their lives, but it wasn’t no *******
Michael Jackson, was it? This kid got his **** s***** by the
       King of Pop.
‘You know how good it must have felt to go to school the next
       day after that s***?’
Chappelle added that he didn’t believe the men’s accusations
because ‘why not Macaulay Culkin’, joking: ‘I’m not a
paedophile, but if I was, Macaulay Culkin’s the first kid I’m
******* — I’ll tell you that right now.’

At least YouTube took action. What's wrong with Netflix and
Comedy Central? Why aren't church leaders speaking up?

That video on YouTube was intended to expose those skits by
       Sarah Silverman.
People who have Netflix need to give that show by Chappelle a
thumbs down. Better yet, boycott Netflix for allowing that kind
       of material.
Who knows what's going on with church leaders. I haven't heard
of any them speaking up about this.

[/quote]I didn't read that carefully enough. I thought Comedy
Central had posted the skit at You Tube. So what's going on at
You Tube? I don't have Netflix. I would think some church
leaders would be urging people to boycott Netflix.

I didn't explain that when I posted about it. I was going to
post the video but it was taken down probably because of a
copyright strike. It showed portions of the skit. I'm giving
YouTube the benefit of the doubt saying that because they censor
certain information even closing down a person's channel for no
       good reason.
I would think that church leaders would do that too.

^^^I don't understand, Heartsong and Kerry, the possible humor
in joking about this subject. Not having any children myself,
as an old person, I'm naturally protective of the young ones and
wish they and their parents all the best.

I don't understand it either but it's happening and becoming
more frequent. I've posted about this on two forums so far. It's
really shocking the way it is becoming more acceptable and even
jokes made about it and people are laughing at those jokes.
