for anyone to say that God made a mistake would be considered

What if God says WHAT ?????
He made no mistake...cannot have done...He is Alpha and Omega
...He sqw the end from before the beginning.. He has His Master
Plan...always has, always will..
You may be thinking of in the time of Noah, when He says in
Gen 6 6 "And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the
earth, and it grieved him at his heart."
I believe that was for mans sake..but from His position, He
always knew, because of what He knew was in man.
God Win's... always does, and always will.

I'd want to see the statement before commenting. Sometimes the
first opinion that comes to mind when we read a passage can't be
right. Consider this:
Genesis 11:5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the
tower, which the children of men builded.
Should we believe God didn't know what was going on and couldn't
see unless He came down to earth? Can we believe God needs
spectacles? Of course not. The verse doesn't mean that.

Some parts of the Bible are written in the "language of men" and
express a viewpoint about how men experience things. We are
tested when we read them. Do we take the literal interpretation
(by the letter) or do we realize the correct interpretation must
be spiritual and not literal.
I agree with you then about the days of Noah. God had made the
world and it grieved Him to see what a mess men were making of
it. If the text suggests otherwise, we should realize it can't
be so. God's plan for mankind went forward and will succeed in
the end. God did not make a mistake, men did. The wonderful
thing is that God's plan took all that into account. Even if we
mess up, that is not permanent. God has a plan that can fix
things.

ah ha Helen - so far fair enough but wait for my forthcoming
topics viz Catch 22 the supreme and ultimate trap and conundrum
set by the Devil which also answers the second one which has
been asked down the ages and even asked and denied by some today
viz 'was He really crucified and why - was there no other way -
there was indeed another way and it was offered by the devil
'bow down and worship me' - twinc

Did God really say so? Read it again in context.
What a thing to say about Almighty God. God doesn't make
mistakes. Be careful what you say about God. Because that is a
mistake.

So now you're saying a mistake isn't always a mistake? That
everything is relative?

An exception does not prove the rule, it merely alters the
extent of its application.
