       That Twinc is something that I 'hold loosely' ...I think maybe
       it is' both.'
       I find that so many things in the bible are not always  "either
       v or "... but  BOTH.

       [/quote]The question may need clarification since both adam and
       h'adam are used in Genesis. You can't tell that easily by
       reading translations.    I'd say Adam is a specific person while
       h'adam is a collection noun.

       Welcome back, twinc!  I'm inclined to think Genesis 1-11 is
       symbolical, so the distinction in Hebrew as man or men as
       mentioned by Kerry above seems to be irrelevant.  I suppose the
       answer depends upon the hermeneutic you bring to the passage.

       actually I think it is very relevant and answers the mystery re
       the Nephilims etc - everything it seems had a tendency to
       giantism e.g there were 8ft Dragonflies etc imho - twinc
