Glad to hear you are well.
I got a cold a few days ago but I am recovering now.
For instance, on which day is Thanksgiving?
Isn't on the same day around the world, or at least where they
celebrate it?
Does it have other equivalent names, locally or abroad?
I wonder what its main characteristic is and if it is celebrated
similarly or not in different regions.
Here many Christians will celebrate on Dec 4th what is called
"Barbara". As far as I remember, she was a very poor Saint who
is supposed to visit each year the families, at night and
dressing like a white ghost (one of the family takes this role),
so that the children will give her something to eat from the
various food, fruits, sweeties which will be prepared for the
holiday.

Kerim -
In Canada it's on the second Monday of every October. It was a
day set aside to give thanks for the harvest.
Happy Thanksgiving Day to Americans of the US kind :)!

My serious fatigue could be the result of acid reflux, Kerry.
I'm taking medication for that. I will have an ENT specialist
make an examination sometime in December. It could be, possibly
something else. What is most irritating is the continuing sore
throat which sometimes affects eating as well as sleep.
The short story "Incident At Mar a Lago" is done. I have, yet,
to complete the final check of the story but will be posting it
soon on Love God Only. I've treated Trump sympathetically but
it should be evident to the reader towards the end of the story
that such feelings are misplaced and that Trump is a thinly
disguised criminal and is, at bottom, rather hateful.
I've presented Trump as going into a form of psychological
withdrawal towards the end of the story when my character Mack
Stemple puts him into greater emotional stress. I've decided
that Trump would respond in one of two ways in the face of great
psychological stress. He would either withdraw as much as he
can from the cause of the stress. He would seek to avoid it.
The other course of action that Trump would do is to try to
destroy the people and the world that he feels is inhibiting his
freedom or is in some sense a greater threat to him.
The psychological withdrawal that I've portrayed coming from
Trump I think is in keeping with what we know about him. I'll
be interested in your thoughts about it. The ending of this
story is different from the White House story where I have Trump
summarily dismissing Mack Stemple from the Oval Office and the
White House grounds. This story is different. Mack Stemple
walks out of Trump's office and Mar a Lago pre-emptively at the
time of his choosing and Trump is glad to see that he is going.
I postponed posting the story earlier when Trump fired the AG
Jeff Sessions. I figured that it was possible that acting AG
Whitaker would immediately do something manifestly illegal. It
hasn't happened yet. I intend to post it before the end of the
month.
Trump had Thanksgiving at Mar a Lago. From what I've been able
to learn, he's had no visitors and is spending time on the golf
course. I suspect that he is seething about his legal
predicament and the results of the election. We are in for a
rough two more years . . .

take it that you sleep with your head propped up.

characterize him as a another coward, a con man who tries to get
what he wants by cunning and deceit.

want a job in this administration?

President Donald Trump will be spending some of his Thanksgiving
weekend at Mar-a-Lago talking to potential candidates for
positions in his administration.
Speaking to reporters Thursday morning, Trump was asked if he
would be interviewing people this week for administration jobs.
"Yeah, we'll have a few. Very happy with my Cabinet and people
that work for me," he said, but added, "I'll probably be
changing a couple, maybe a few."
"But very little. Overall, we're very happy," Trump told
reporters.
If he says he's very happy, I read it to mean he's miserable and
doesn't know what to do about it.
