       The Bridge at Remagen - Movie  The Horror of War

       Though Memorial Day has faded into the recent past, it lingers
       for me.  The movie, The Bridge at Remagen, brought back to me
       some of the horror that is implicit in war.  It is not graphic
       like modern war pictures, but it does make its point.  As Jesus
       would say, "Blessed are the peacemakers . . .".

       It could be said that in a war, there are rarely winners.  It is
       more likely that all are losers, only some lose more than
       others.  That is one more sad thing about it.
