Isis Pushing Muslims Toward Christ
By: guest6 Date: January 2, 2018, 9:47 am
---------------------------------------------------------
This is interesting. 80% of the Christian converts came to
Christ after having a dream about Jesus.
This isn't the kind of story that is going to be on mainstream
news because it goes against the official narrative which seems
to be that Muslims are terrorists and will never change. That's
why I find this story encouraging. When people choose not to
hate and kill each other, that's good for them and the rest of
the world. That's how things change and how progress is made.
[b]Islamic State (ISIS) is now believed to have fully
operational branches in 18 countries across the world, not only
persecuting Christians, but also pushing Muslims toward Christ.
Its efforts to create a ‘pure’ Islamic nation are causing a
growing number of Muslims to examine their faith more closely
and more critically. “There are a lot of people turning from
Islam”, said Ibrahim Al-Jamil, a pastor in northern Iraq. “Jesus
has a big net and ISIS is pushing people toward this net. What
we are seeing now is like the tip of the iceberg”.
Ibrahim said he also sees evidence on social media and elsewhere
on the Internet that Muslims are leaving Islam. He said they are
repulsed by what ISIS is doing and increasingly disagree with
Islam’s teachings.
“ISIS is making people, especially Muslims, think about their
faith and question the faith they were born in and don’t
understand”, he said. “They were reading the Koran, but there is
a veil. So now when they are reading the Koran they have better
understanding and they are questioning if this is the true faith
and if Allah is ordering people to kill each other”.
When they first leave Islam, Ibrahim said, many people initially
claim no religion. They have been taught that Christianity is a
false religion, and Judaism isn’t an option because Jews have
long been viewed as the enemy.
Ibrahim estimates that about 80% of the Christian converts he
has met came to Christ after having a dream about Jesus.
“Muslims strongly believe in dreams and visions”, he said. “And
when we pray for the Muslims, the Lord is going to use the way
that they are believing strongly, which is dreams and visions.
Because a lot of people and a lot of churches are praying for
Muslims specifically, that is why they see dreams and visions.
Ibrahim regularly hears former Muslims share their conversion
story when they first visit his church.
“One guy came to me and said, ‘I want to become a Christian.’ I
said, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘Because I was in the river and no one
could help me, but I saw a face full of light come to me and I
was reaching my hand to Him and He took me out from the river.’
I asked him, ‘Who was this man?’ He said, ‘Jesus.’ I said, ‘How
did you know Him?’ He said, ‘I just know Him.’
Another man who responded to a dream is now leading Muslims to
Christ and helping believers grow in their faith.
“This guy saw all the prophets coming in his dream”, Ibrahim
said. “All the prophets, one after one, starting from Moses. At
the end he saw Jesus coming, the last one, and he said, ‘I
waited for Muhammad to come,’ because for them he is the last
one, ‘and nobody showed up.’ When I asked, ‘Where is the last
one?’ they said, ‘Jesus is the last one.’ He became a Christian
and now he is a pastor”.
When former Muslims are baptised, he said, they are forever
committed to Christ — even in the face of intense persecution.
Ibrahim said that being baptised means “they became a Christian,
and they left their life, and now they are ready to die for
Jesus”.[b]

I think the loudest voices and actions v ISIS should come from
Muslim leaders since Muslims are most often the targets of this
group.
I've heard the 80% mark given years ago. It seems to me it comes
from the experiences of one person. This is not to discount his
account. I think a broader survey could give a clearer picture
of conversions.

I've also read news stories and heard testimonies from former
Muslims who said that the love, compassion and kindness that
they were shown by Christians moved them to want to become
Christian.

No doubt that you have heard and read these accounts of
Christian kindness. Conversion sometimes is a two-way street
with kindness and love claimed by many.

become angry or fearful. It's encouraging that there are still
enough Christians around to show the world the love of Christ
manifested in their lives.

I think Christians here in the U.S. could learn a lot from the
Christians in Iraq and other countries. They are under extreme
persecution, living in some of the worst conditions, being
attacked by extremists, having bombs dropped on them continually
in wars, their churches, homes, hospitals, are bombed, so many
of them are being killed, the ones who survive are having to
flee for their lives to other countries. Yet they still have
strong faith and show love and compassion to others even Muslims
who Christians in the U.S. say should be destroyed because
they're all terrorists who are incapable of changing and have
the goal of taking over all the countries and killing
Christians.
The Christians in those countries are probably wondering what in
the world is wrong with the Christians here. We don't even live
under those conditions yet so many Christians here act like it's
the end of the world and live in so much fear of Muslims. And
the Christians here don't realize that what they say and do and
support makes the Christians in those other countries more of a
target and increases the persecution on them.
And every time I turn around it seems Trump is on the news
talking about Muslims chopping off the heads of
Christians. That doesn't help the situation at all. Just makes
Christians here even more fearful. angry and increases their
hate toward Muslims.

^^^Heartsong, I would say that Isis, if it has made a mass
migration of Muslims out of Syria, out of Dar-al-Islam into the
West, has severely damaged the faith of Muslims world-wide.
This migration of Muslims did not go to other Muslim lands but
to the West. It indicates a serious disenchantment with Islam
and an openness to other points of view. I've heard reports
that many are coming to Christ in Germany and Canada. There is
no shortage of ex-Muslim YouTube websites and many of these have
horror stories to tell.
Isis seems to realize all this. From what I've heard they view
supposed Muslims migrating to the West as Kufir, apostates to
Islam.
Love wins out over hate simply because of the fact that people
get tired of it. Muslims are tired of all of the hostility that
they see in many of their fellow believers. They are finally
asking why this has to be so and are now quietly leaving Islam .

Yes that's good observations.
I've been reading news stories about the Christians in the
Middle East since the early 2000's. They continually asked for
prayers and felt like they had been forgotten by the Christians
here. Because politics and media and even some preachers have so
much influence on Christians in the U.S. I'm sure we all saw
what happened with that.
This is an excerpt of one those stories:
"International politics oftentimes pays no attention to the
existence of Christians and the fact that they are victims, at
times the first to suffer, goes unnoticed," the document said.
It said the rise of "political Islam" in Arab, Turkish and
Iranian societies and its extremist currents are "clearly a
threat to everyone, Christians and Muslims alike."
And it lamented that Middle Eastern countries often identity
Christianity with the West.
"History has made us a little flock," the document said.
"However, through what we do, we can still become a presence
which has great value."

Excerpt: Christians find themselves under the hammer of the
Israeli occupation to no less an extent than Muslims, yet
America—supposedly a Christian country—stands idly by because
its most politically influential Christians have decided that
Palestinian Christians are acceptable collateral damage in their
apocalyptic quest. “To be a Christian from the land of Christ is
an honor,” says Abbas, a Palestinian Christian whose family
lived in Jerusalem for many generations until the purge of 1948.
“To be expelled from that land is an injury, and these Zionist
Christians in America add insult.” Abbas is one of the handful
of Palestinian Christians that could be described as
Evangelical, belonging to a group that appears to be distantly
related to the Plymouth Brethren. Cherishing the role of devil’s
advocate, I had to ask him, “Is the State of Israel not in fact
the fulfillment of God’s promise and a necessary step in the
second coming of Christ?” Abbas looked at me briefly and
laughed. “You’re kidding, right? You know what they do to our
people and our land. If I thought that was part of God’s plan,
I’d be an atheist in a second.”

Excerpt: "Christians in Iraq are becoming more and more of a
minority, and they are being sacrificed for the sake of the war
against terrorism taking place on the battlefield of Iraq," he

'playing card' that outside forces can manipulate for their own
aims.
Iraqi Christians said they do not want to leave their country,
but without the needed recognition and support of their rights,
staying there is becoming a more difficult proposition....
