       Pick Your Problems
By: Kerry Date: June 8, 2016, 8:40 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       L. Ron Hubbard said once something to the effect that if people
didn't have problems, they'd invent them because everyone needs
to have at least one problem. That sounds silly at first; but
think about it. Haven't you ever known someone who had no real
problems except the ones he created for himself? You don't see
poor or sick people inventing silly problems like that since
       they already have problems.
We all might like to think we'd enjoy a life without any
problems, but think how tedious and boring it would be. What
purpose would you have in life?
Another thing is that you can either pick your problems or
problems will pick you. You must have problems; so decide if
you want to decide what problems to have, or if you want to
think you can live without any and then attract problems you
       really don't want.
I think that rich and famous people who spend a lot of time and
effort working on the problems of others like hunger and poverty
are happier in their personal lives. They picked their
problems. The rich and famous who try to lead idle lives would
attract problems in their personal lives. Problems picked them.

I love the song Amazing Grace; but honestly I think I'd go a
little crazy in the kind of Heaven it portrays. It starts off
       making sense to me:
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now I'm found,
Was blind, but now I see.
       'twas Grace that taught,
       my heart to fear.
       And grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear,
       the hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
       I have already come.
'tis grace that brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead us home.
Having problems and having them solved is good and something to
be thankful for. Then the song veers off in a different
direction and seems to imagine having no problems is the final
       goal:
When we've been there ten thousand years,
       bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
       than when we first begun.
I think I'd be bored singing God's praise if nothing else was
happening. I think Jesus was clever as well as loving to take
on the problems of this world. I also believe the saints in
Heaven play a role in helping the people on earth. It gives
them something to do; and when their prayers are answered, it's
       something to thank God for.

I think 'the being bored bit' is only because we are so
limited, so we can have no real idea as to what God has planed
for us. Isn't that where faith comes in?
If He can make a beautiful little Pansy, if He can put fragrance
into a rose..and make the tiny little animals, and a huge
Elephants ...I am sure He has great plans for the rest of
eternity for us. There will be no bordom I am sure.
My trust is in 1 Cor 2.9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not
seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
That is why they cannot express it in hymns I think.

Yes, the eternal singing of praises shall be left up to those
that want to do it, like those that surround the throne doing
so. There are people who love to sing and love the Lord and
might be well suited to that, but God, because He loves us, will
allow us to work in the areas of either our gifts, or our
       interests I would think.

       Possible heavenly paralambano problems:
       Mankini, speedo, or surfer-shorts.
Mootsarella, provelone, or havarti or what the heck, all three
       at once (blush).
       Jimi Hendrix or Rory Gallagher.
       Potayto, potahto.
       Well, never said I was a genius . . . .
       para . . . .

be things to do, and this is one reason I believe in life on
other planets. Life on other planets will have its problems,
and we could help them the way angels now can help us. I
think the Glory of God is meant to fill the whole universe -- in
some ways it already does; but I think there may be ways it
       becomes greater and greater.

[/quote]With God all things are possible; so I wonder if those
who sing His praises could possibly be in more than one place at
the same time. We already can be in more than one place in
       our minds.
In one way, I believe Christians are already "eternally with the
Lord" -- already "in high places" with Christ -- already "caught
up." But when we're on the earth, it's hard to connect with
that and see things from the heavenly perspective.
