A girl with long white hair and white wings sat up in a
windowsill overlooking the alley, her alley. She still felt at
home here no matter what anyone else said. A blanket sat up in
the little alcove. The girl was watching lights dance around
her fingertips.

Grey eyes tore away from the lights around her fingers at the
sound of the whistling. Leaning her head out of the alcove she
looked down to see who was in her home. She tilted her head
lightly as he stopped whistling. Those grey orbs settled on the
boy, as her wings rustled lightly.

Alice watched the the boy start to sniff at the air with a
slightly confused look. Keeping an eye on her alley she shifted
a bit further out of her alcove to see the boy better, a small
shadow ball forming in her hand just in case.

A light but strong voice swirled down from above him. "Strange
thing to ask someone in their home." A flash of white wings,
and a girl was sitting on a concrete pillar in the alley. "Is
there a reason you're in my alley?" The girl settled her gaze
on his eyes as she tilted her head slightly running her fingers
through her hair.

A small shadow ball formed in her hand as he looked her over.
The street urchin didn't advance, but neither did she retreat.
Leaning forward she never took her eyes from him. "It may not
have my name on it, but considering its where I live. I think I
am allowed to be protective of it."
