       8/16 Plays and Chatter

       Happy Friday, gang.
Three plays today, gonna lock up one of them.
China Super League - Changchun Yatai/Guangzhou Evergrande o3
       -105
Straightforward play for me here. It's strong, but the push is
definitely in play. Guangzhou is currently the league leaders,
boasting a goal-difference of +45. By simple comparison,
Changchun sit 15th in the league with a -14 GD. Guangzhou has
scored at least two goals in eight out of its last nine away
games and in six straight games.
The first league match between these two went 6-1 to Guangzhou.
       Ireland Premier League - St. Patrick/Shelbourne o2.5 -145
Same song, different verse for my Irish League play. On Match
Day 25, table-toppers St. Patrick hold a +28 GD and will host
Shelbourne (10th/12) -18 GD. St. Patrick hosted this same
fixture on Match Day 3, and came away with a 4-0 win at home. I
expect a very similar result today. Shelbourne has had some
improved away form (unbeaten in last four road games, 2-2-0, 6
GF, 2 GA). If the away team can rip off a goal, this should be a
       gimme.
       LOCK France Ligue 2 - Caen/Creteil o2.5 EV
Caen and Creteil sit second and third, respectively, at the top
of France's Ligue 2, but that figures to change as the season
goes on. Creteil is a freshly promoted side, while Caen fell six
points short of third place Nantes last season. Caen posted the
second-best home record last year (8-9-2, 13 GF 5 GA).
In its two games this year, Caen has won both: 3-1 at home
followed by a 2-1 win on the road. In Creteil's two matches thus
far, it has won 3-2 on the road to open the season, followed by
a 3-2 home win over fellow promoted side Metz.
       Really liking this play.
