snuggle my daughter and kiss the top of her head. "I get it. And
sometimes I miss him, too."

With that, I take the phone from my pocket and hand it to her.
"Here you go," I tell my daughter, "just mind that you use it
like you're meant to from here on out." I pause and, with a sly
smile, add, "It's nearly your bedtime anyway." I give her a
teasing wink.

having expected that at all! Pulls a face as Momma mentions
bedtime!*

*Hugging Momma, i reach over and slide the phone into my desk
drawer, out of temptations way till the morning, not needing
Momma to come in in the middle of the night and find me playing
