really honeslty having thought that she would be you gotta have
hope, right? Glancing nervously in her direction i start to
explain...

*Swallows and licks my lips when Nanty sets Kiki down and folds
her arms, glad to see that the foot isn't tapping yet at least.
Wriggling in the sofa till i'm at least sitting up straight,
still holding the cushion in front of me - cos yeah, like that's
gonna save me! - Glances at Nanty then at the floor as i
continue.
"ummm i mighta kinda told her that the chokey was real an umm
that iffn you were bad or the teacher don't like you she'd put
you in there"
*Hearing it in my head as it comes out my mouth i realise just
how bad it sounds"

I close my eyes and take a deep breath. "Antonia," I begin in a
low tone, "I want you to apologize to your sister and explain to
her that you were only teasing. And then you can sit here as we
go through the rest of the rules and think about the large
amount of trouble you're going to be in once we're through."

"Kiki? I'm really sorry i told you all that stuff bout school
it's not really like that at alls. There Isn't no chokey an the
teachers are all really nice and you'll have fun, I was only
tending when i told you alla that stuff. I'm sorry i frighted
you, i din't mean it for reals"
