"Good," I answer Toni with a wink. Then I turn to the others.
"Okay, guys. So we've got to talk ground rules. I only have
three, but you'll find that they pretty much encompass
everything. So, I'm going to read each one out loud, and then
each of you will tell me what you think it means." I pause to
make sure each one understands what we're doing.
"Take responsibility for yourself and your actions." I nod to
Iona to start us off.

I raise a single eyebrow at my daughter, continuing to hold out
my hand for her phone.
"Willa Rose McIntyre, I will not tell you again. Obey, before
you and I excuse ourselves to your bedroom for a discussion and
I keep the phone for two days rather than just overnight."
