       I do agree that the draft be reinstated.  I have always felt
       that the military takes a young person and over night turns them
       into grownups.

       Possibly a recruiting system with incentives for signing on to a
       3-5 yr commitment would be better for replenishing the ranks.
       With $ incentives and opportunities for low cost or no cost
       education and training, a successful candidate could leap frog
       his peers taking traditional ed paths with regard to job
       opportunities!
